I have pretty small wrists (I'm a guy) and almost every watch I try makes it even more apparent how thin they are.

My questions:
(1) Might be stupid, but do any of you know how to make it bigger? I'm 20 and don't think I'm getting a second puberty.
(2) What kind of watch could be good for thin wrists? I don't want to wear ladies watches btw.

what size wrists are we talking about?
most midsized models would fit smaller wrists (watches sized from 35mm to 38mm diameter)

Question for those knowledgeable with Omega's.

My friend is interested in Omega's but I'm not too familiar with them. For entry level, I know most typically go speedmaster / seamaster. Is one typically more exp (ie. Submariner vs. Deepsea Sea Dweller)? And typical price points.

regarding the speedmaster/ seamaster, it would depend on which model he chooses because they're broad families. the basic speedmaster can range from maybe 3500 (handwound model) all the way up to around 10k, the seamaster can be around 2500-3000 entry level (quartz), again up to 10k.

speedmaster in size goes from 39/40mm (speedie date) to 44mm (broad arrow, or the new 9300 calibre speedmaster)

seamaster goes from 36 or 38 (not sure) for the midsize model and quartz, 41mm for the basic seamaster 300, all the way up to 45.5 for the seamaster planet ocean (around 6200 i believe at the omega boutique in fairmont hotel vancouver)

if your friend is buying just one watch for both casual/smart/business/dress, a speedmaster pro, seamaster 41mm, or seamaster aqua terra 41.5mm will do the trick. all of those are offered in either metal bracelet or leather straps

I think he'll be interested in the automatic models, in the 5000 range. Any specific suggestion then? Or does the speedmaster pro, seamaster 41mm, and aqua terra 41.5mm fit the bill?

If you are spending that kind of money. Save a lil bit more and get a sub. If your budget is fixed, the source a used one.

if your friend is strictly under the 5k or maybe a 5.5k mark, then those three would most likely fit his budget. would also like to point out that those three watches will fit differently from each other even though their measurements are quite similar. IIRC, in terms of height, speedie pro>seamaster 41mm>aqua terra 41.5

I don't think he wants to save for a SubC. He already wanted a Tag at first... but I convinced him that an Omega would be a better purchase.

also worth noting that, while "maybe" viewed by most people as a poor man's rolex, tudor has some nice pieces coming out, or already out.

all of those are i believe between the 40-42mm mark, with the 1st two being close to the original vintage tudor 200m submariners back in the day

You will not regret

Used 3570.50 are in the $2000~$2500+ range for a mint one.

you're kind of in that difficult price range where you can almost get some good used watches. i'd save a bit for an omega or spend a bit less on maybe one of the brands below

you can also get a used seamaster for that pricerange (just the normal seamaster, not the planet ocean)

Workout and eat more so that your forearms grow. That bony wrist area will also get bigger by a bit. Then, get shinier watches with a bigger strap and bezel, and itll look good

What exercises do you recommend, reps and sets for them too? I'd post it on the workout thread later, but hopefully you'll see it here first.

Forearm curls.. but the biggest thing is eat more.
If you have skinnier wrists, you'll always have skinnier wrists. It's your bone structure. You'll notice even guys with "bigger" wrists, it's mostly all bone there.

As for watches, I'd say stick with ones where the face is predominantly a circular shape. Nothing too big, nothing too small. I actually think the shape of the diver style watches are the perfect size.
