Who here has ordered from the Christopher Ward website? I'm looking into a C60 off their website but am afraid of additional duties if I have them ship to my house. Should I have them send it over to Point Roberts to potentially avoid that?

quick question for the PAM owners here, do you bring it to palladio for regulating/adjusting...or should i bring it to Palladio?

For those that don't know already, Rolex released a brand new model for their collection - the Sky-Dweller. I'll let the photos and article speak for itself: Introducing The Rolex Sky-Dweller: A Dual Timezone, Annual Calendar From Rolex, For Real (Live Photos) — HODINKEE - Wristwatch News, Reviews, & Original Stories

Thoughts on it?

I got an older watch passed down from my granddad, the brand name on it is Tugaris. I have read that it was popular back in I believe the 1960's-1980's in Asia. Anyone have any background information or history on this company? I am just curious, I am a bit of a history junkie.

There is some discoloration and was wondering if anyone knew of a good watch restoration place to help me with this piece. Regardless of the brand and what the watch is worth, I would like quality work done on this piece, as it is a heirloom.

Does anyone have an opinion on Citizen's Eco-Drive?

I'm considering one ...

Not a fan of the sky dweller... I am a fan of Yachtmaster II in yellow gold though :) Perfect weekend beach watch, not an everyday wear watch.

Does anyone know if the merchandise on Jomashop and other online watch retailers are 100% legit and real merchandise?

ntan 09-14-2012 06:56 PM

^Jomashop is legit (from my understanding... speaking from personal exp. too) but they're a gray market seller.

Yup, great watches. Get one that's suitable for daily wear, as it runs off light.

I've heard about them stopping or needing a replacement of parts after 4-5 years.

Have you owned one?

6793026 09-16-2012 12:13 PM

i have a lot of econ drive. maybe 5-6 over the years. i have one i got back in 2002 and it's still working now.

all of mine are diver watches which gets down to 100 ft + does a lot of work on CPU data. that's the only time i think it will go out of battiers.

Just picked up a Movado Museum Quartz with the leather strap for a dress watch, tired of wearing my "every day" watch now that I wear dress shirts to work.

My everyday watch, the venerable Tissot PRC200.

Stoked!!

etodac 09-19-2012 07:33 PM

I want to replace the plastic strap on my watch with leather ones. Any suggestions? Price would be good.

^Seems like you get a new watch every couple weeks lol

I'm still debating whether or not I should've bought your Marine Master

joquio 09-21-2012 03:50 PM

Haha, my watches come and go fast.
The one I had wasn't the "true" Marine Master and it was sold a while back anyway....
Still working on thinning down to handful of watches.
