Naked Famous Pros:
- offers many selvage materials
- basic models run cheaper at MSRP
- construction is similar to Nudies
- higher end collabs are exceptional quality: NF x Momo , NF x BJ , NF x FH


Nudies Pros:
- more slim-skinny fits: straight sven, slim jim, thinn finn, tube kelly..etc


In terms of durability, Nudies are known to have "crotch blows" where the crotch seams will form holes from excessive sagging and wear. It is also due to the fact that Nudies are constructed using lighter non-selvedge denim for the most part they are ~13oz. Naked and Famous on the other hand are more sleeper brand in that they have no distinctive "backpocket" stitching...it mainly focuses on good materials which it does have. As such there are much less cases of crotch blows from them.

I would personally, since I have worn in a pair of Nudies Average Joes Dry Heavy (which is about 15 oz.) and am currently working on a pair of APC Petite standards and a pair of Skull 5010xx 5x5 would say that my Nudies have been retired due to a huge crotch blow.

Go with the Naked and Famous... I have a pair of Deep Inidgo Skinny Guys and they look tough as nails!

nudies are pretty similar to nf. similar price and quality. can't say much about fit though. I was going to get nudies at first but the weird guy fit is too perfect for me.
j2 doesn't really have a lot of selection, half of it is pre-washed from what i've seen. maybe you'll find what you need, i've seen mostly jims and finns.

Nudies are nothing like N&F/Unbranded. :suspicious:

Most Nudies are made with a lighter denim, so they're not as tough and rough, relative to N&F.

Nudies has many fits and washes, where as N&F only has the few.

I just got my first pair of Nudies, and honestly the build on my old Unbranded felt better for ~1/3 of the price. Try them on one after the other, the N&F will feel a lot stronger and more durable.

It all depends what you're looking for out of your jeans.. I honestly bought Nudies just for the aesthetics/brand. I expect them to break down way faster than my Unbranded did.

If you're looking for jeans with more solid build and material, I'd go for the N&F.

i fill the tub with cold or lukewarm water enough for the jeans to sink in it. add some detergent and let it sit for about 45 mins.
drain the tub add new water to rinse the jeans.
hang dry.

or throw it in the washer but i didnt want to lose too much indigo.

Most places sold out on boxing day, only boysco got sizes but no sale

I'm thinking about picking up my first pair of raw denim jeans.
Are there any brands out there that offer raw denims with a slight bootcut?

For my build, I would look totally weird wearing a skinny :(

best tip i can give is just go to the store and try on a bunch of pairs.
try not to buy it just based on popularity on the internet.

Don't know how my whiskers turned out so nice, It's probably because I put my backpack on my lap when I bus to school and I play hockey with them on when I get the chance to. Yea the jeans were only a little bit damp, I just finished drying them when I took the pics.

The sad part is there doesn't seem to be great selection locally, besides Dutil. This thread is essentially the NF/Nudie thread lol.

Looking forward to my next trip to Cali or NYC haha.
