I was thinking about putting a 4G63 mated to a Starion trans in an second gen RX7. That would be dope. Because it's not a 6 cylinder motor, you could still mount it fairly far back and low down. I think that it would be one of the better conversions to do.

i know what the trans is but what is the motor from ?

4G63 is the 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder motor that came in the Mitsubishi Eclipses, Eagle Talons, Plymouth Lasers, Lancer evolutions and mitsubishi galants. It's a pretty stong son-of-a-biatch.

Who wants Rx-8's?? Men who had to sell their babies because the wife thought their sports car wasn't practical for the "family". TYLER WATCH OUT FO THIS ONE !!! People who want to support the comeback of the rotary engine in the Rx-8 because they really are waiting for the release of the 4th Gen Rx-7. Which I'm thinking is going to come with a Turbo RENESIS motor (which already makes 250 N/A)....and the people that are drooling about the RENESIS motor offered in a miata platform, that's who.

it just not going to do well in it's class that is the big word from motor trend and stuff

it is not paformer in any way come pared to cars that will be in it's class and will they release a rx7 don't think they will cause as the number go up it whould be rx9

motor trend says it acts like honda in it power band but doe snto have the jump that v tec does

it no tur wounder and you though your cars had none

being the rx8 has around 100 less turq then hp

plus the weight it gained as well


i thinik but not sure the rx8 is int eh same price class as the 350 z as well

toyota has nothing as of right now but some thing is going to show it head out soon

hell if the 350 and the rx8 don't sell much toyota may not even make car for it's class


they made nice car into faimly ish car you can tell by the 3rd door


mazda made nice peppy car nissan mached it and beat it and then will come a toyota with even more power that just how it goes

umm doesnt the rx8 have like 250hp or someshit. Thats without a turbo. Shit that thing will be crazy fast when the aftermarket turbo kit comes out. a freaking 10,000 rpm redline.

Also i would love to know what issue this rx8 is in. It doesnt come out for almost a year still.

I saw that 350z in vic yesterday and it looked sexy

well it don't have red line liek that it just goes to 8

and the turq jump will be crazy

a super chager will be better for that car i think more smoother power band

negative.. turbo!! why dont you go and super charge your Supra for a smoother powerband.. :cool: it should be a great car when it comes out and will hold its own with many others.. its a family car! its a family car with lots of fun! im sure it will be a big hit and tons of success will come from it.. and parts will get cheeper for us fools! :)

The exhaust i'm getting from Troy at Progressive for my GSL-SE will boost me from 135hp to 185hp with timing advancement because of the high compression of the GSL-SE 13B

super charged supra it has bean done to the 5mge have npt sean it on 7m

it whould work out great but you car get more power out of turbo and the 3 liter motor all ready has the turq for what turbo needs

super chagers whay they work best fo that i know of


low end power car's like iroc's/mustage/other
trucks for pulling
no turq wounders high power band s2000 ect

who wants a gas drinking family car? how about all the soccer moms that drive there kids to school and soccer practice in the SUV's and suberbins? those waste more gas and are not as fun.. maybe now u can see that the rx8 will have a chance..
