no offence to RX-8 fans but I don't really like it because...
its 4 door,
non turbo,
slower than RX-7,
higher than RX-7(the height),
RX-8 has less than 70% of 3rd gen RX-7 torque.
looks ugly to me...
etc..

Arrg its a family/sports car!!! its not meant to be 100% sports car. Family cars are just getting more stylish. I like the looks of them and there arent slower then the 3rd gen. Dont they run low 14's just like the 3rd gens too??

EightTrack 11-30-2002 02:30 PM

Yeah, I'm not a big fan either, but I'm loving those gauges and 10k rpm.... mmmmmm......

255hp 3rd gen runs 13.5(www.supercars.net)...so The Spirit R or the Type-RZ can be faster...
But RX-8 is making only 22kg-m of torque though...while Spirit R is making approx 32kg-m of torque...
I know that RX-8 has better engine but I like low 2 door cars...like NSX...oh well...its my personal opinion though...

CanadianRX7 11-30-2002 08:25 PM

LOL they dont run 13.5 haha..gt though they run 14 flat..go ask in the 3rd gen forums at rx7club.com and they will tell u the same..A good driver could get 13.8 or so..also the 3rd gen only have 55hp more then the 2nd gen and that doesnt make it a second and a half faster haha

NanaimoRx-7 11-30-2002 10:12 PM

They rule but are very price.Especially when MAZSPORT in austrailia builds the exact same spoiler too.Thats why I bought this Mazdatrix front. It was a good price for a better look. For $100 US I didn't care.It beats the stock look.:D

Are you serious that you wanna order those?
Any brand named products are pretty expensive...like ARF, Mazdaspeed, Racing Beat, Pettit Racing, RE-Amemiya, M2, Knight Sports, R-Magic, etc...
Well, they are good products so I think it worth it...
I think you can order it from any performance shop. Go ask Auto F/X or something.
If they can't, I might be able to help you.

bcty 12-01-2002 09:58 AM

Not bad, but, as you say, a little high on the price.

Accord Goblin 12-01-2002 11:50 AM

Could you guys post some links to sites that sell RX7 parts? Mainly looking for 2nd gen. Haven't got one yet but figured I'd try and get to know the products before hand. thanks.

I have no idea who sells ARF products...it is really rare to find one in North America...
I think you can ask one of these stores and ask them if they can import ARF products for you.

I love that blue ones ARF front too.Man is that sweet. If I only had the money to spend on looks.:D Oh well my Mazdatrix front will have to do. I wonder if ARF makes that front for the SA's?

bcty 12-02-2002 10:58 AM

It will fit... there will be no gap like going to the new bumper on our older cars... the front bumper wraps around and has its own side driving lights.. so it will fit.. all those links didnt work for me Timpo... hmm.. oh btw that price was in CAD right?

Accord Goblin 12-02-2002 12:18 PM

Do most BOV's have this?? In the description it say's you can change the sounds to 3 different styles. I like that Idea!!

Thats wierd.I know if you convert the FB to the SA front they say it's a bigtime pain in the ass.You put that thing on the bottle before putting a kit on it tho.:D Then she'll move nicely. At least they make plate kits for the holley setup.I still need to phone NOS about a kit for my carb setup.:( It'll have to wait till spring.I'll be ordering some Racing Beat springs buy the end of the month to give it a 1" drop to go with the mazdatrix front I just bought for it.At least by the end of the month she'll be running again and waiting for spring.:D I love my first gen.
