Bo Laksa King Laksa was great as always, 9/10 Costco near Production Way Had a hot dog and a poutine. Anyone know when they lowered the price of hot dogs to $1.50? lol. Fries were super crispy, however the gravy was still salty as hell. Coke from their fountain machines = divine :sweetjesus: hot dog and poutine 6.5/10 Coke 10/10 |
Original Joes - Kelowna 9/10 went on wing Wednesday . 30 wings for $10.50 wings had great flavor (had honey garlic, cajun, and shanghai) , weren't "tiny" , not over cooked like a lot of places for wings and my drink was constantly refilled :) |
Benkei Ramen on Thurlow, tried the shio and the miso ramen. Noodles were great, but the shio soup was bland and didn't taste like much of anything, miso could also have tasted a little richer but overall had a very traditional miso paste taste and texture. 7/10, not my favourite but prices are reasonable, renovations are better than most, and service was decent |
Ebisu Richmond Service: 10/10 amazing service, very friendly staff Food: 9/10 fresh sashimi :D Overall: 9.5/10 Was going to head downtown, but didn't want to deal with the traffic |

Seri Malaysia 8/10 Had the chicken curry special (Chicken curry, rice, can of pop) for $7.00 and the salted fish fried rice. The salted fish is very salty, much saltier than the HK-style salted fish. But it was so good :sweetjesus: |
Posh (Richmond) Went there on a weekday with a buddy with the coupon. Food came out fast as usual. Felt bad for the guy working because there was one guy working / cleaning up etc. The fire on the stove was cranked to the max but the water just wouldnt boil. It took forever to cook ONE plate of meat (5 minutes at least) Requested for a new tank of juice for our stove but they said no we're closing soon. They ran out of large Asahi's and only had small beers. Posh just aint the same anymore =( 3/10 |

Nine Dishes on Kingsway and St. Catherine's Street If you think the lamb skewers from the night market are good, you gotta try this. It's a restaurant ran by a guy from Beijing and if you can speak mandarin then you can get good damn service (he gives out free drinks and food sometimes). Rice is free so there's a rice cooker and you can keep getting rice, although don't be a hog and take a shit load or else he won't be too happy. Food is legit Szechuan/mainland style. I'm Cantonese myself but this food is amazing, kinda changes my view on canto food 9/10 cause I had to blow my nose, can't handle spicy like those who are used to it |
Volcano Sushi on Hastings Nothing special just your avg sushi place. Not amazing nor is it really shitty. I categorize this place as where if I was in the area and wanted sushi I would go but if I was somewhere else in the City I would definitely not be saying "oh lets go eat at Volcano!". |
Cactus Club Cafe in Abby. Go for the food, stay for the waitresses. :hotbaby: |
nainamo sushi 8/10 |
^ their welcoming and farewell gets annoying after a while eh? good quality sushi for cheap tho |
anyone know the new place that replaced Fish on Rice on Broadway? |
Pho Tam in Surrey. 1st time going there and as usual, I get the House Special. Now I have a choice between there and Pho Vinh since they're the same distance from my house :yuno:. 9/10 |
If I had to choose between the two, my pick would be Pho Vinh. Parking is plentiful and the overall cleanliness cannot be compared. :lol |
The popcorn shrimp at Crave :sweetjesus: Posted via RS Mobile |
Chai - w broadway 3239.. 5/10 pretty expensive, 25 bucks per entry but it's all you can eat, low variety of food and not all of the dishes are that appetizing, uncomfortable seating, a different place to eat though, it's all out of wood but again not comfortable. |
Brix in Yaletown 8/10 |
Maylasian Curry House (Boundary-ish and Kingsway) 6/10. Hainese chicken on rice was..so so. $7.98 for relatively small pieces of chicken with crappy oil rice. Laksa was tasty with good noodles...but it is also very much bastardized. lol Wouldn't return, I think I'd rather go to Bo Laksa's. |
