Shanghai River across from richmond on westminister.
1.Peking duck 2 eat: 7/10 (ate better ones elsewhere)
2. Fish stomach and crab soup: 7/10 ( not much taste)
3. Wine chicken 6.5/10 ( not much wine taste)

Service: 7/10

Conclusion: gone downhill a bit compared to 2-3 years ago.

^ True, a year ago it was so good...now...not so much :/

Meat and Bread

- had the porchetta sandwich. Soooo good

9/10. Pricey at $8. but definately worth it

Romer's Burger Bar - 9.5/10. Had the Americano, regular fries, and drunken donuts. Burger was amazing. Juicy, flavourful, and well put together. Fries were good, enough for two people. Drunken donuts were the icing on the cake. So good! Will definitely go back and try other burgers.

I think Meat & Bread is overrated. I went there twice and thought of it more as a novelty and hipster place than anything.

bcrdukes 11-17-2011 11:14 PM

It was some special.

I was in a rush. Ordered their daily special. Came back to my desk to discover there was kimchi in my sandwich. :fuuuuu:

Yeah I agree. IMHO Japadog is tastier than Meat and Bread but not good enough to open up like 2 stores.

Real good food is something plain but amazing. It makes you feel warm and at home.

You really only need to try japadog once (maybe one of every dog) just to say that you've had japadog.
I wouldn't line up more than 5 minutes for it

Other than their wasabi mayo sauce, Japadog is nothing fancy. Everything they buy is from Costco...

I call bullshit.

Link to their kurobuta sausages?

Nlkko 11-19-2011 09:03 AM

Boiling Point, Richmond 7/10

The hot pot looks small but actually quite a lot of food. Very good value. Service was prompt even though it was busy. The drink was great.

I have a hunch that they get their sausages from Nikuya Meats.

BlackZRoadster 11-19-2011 12:37 PM

^ I think so too.

I'm not sure which Costco they can get all there stuff from like trdood says.

Euro7r 11-20-2011 07:10 PM
