:okay:

Gastown isnt like your dirty hipster hangout.

The Pourhouse in Gastown

Had the Pourhouse burger and a gin and tonic.

I read it changed owners?

bcrdukes 12-13-2014 04:59 PM

Yes, Bo Laksa King changed owners. I believe it has also changed its name. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

still worth going to though?

bcrdukes 12-13-2014 09:34 PM

Sorry, couldn't tell you. I haven't been back since it changed names/ownership.

I understand that the quality of food, portion size, and prices have changed for the worse but take it with a grain of salt. Best you find out for us! :D

BEFORE the change, it was already going down hill. FUCK their Roti used to be SUPER EPIC good. Cripsy, similar to puff pastry but it went downhill. I was so embarrassed caues it was so shitty.
never been back since.
then it changed names.

bcrdukes 12-13-2014 11:02 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot.

Don't Argue! Pizza

Had the pesto ricotta (small.) Was perfect for two. 9/10.

Company Xmas dinner

Family style with tomahawk steak, lobster, salmon, prawns, and lamb.

Klondike 12-14-2014 02:09 AM

The Sea House Fish n Chips

7.5/10. Good deal, the food was great (had a burger and chips, friend had 2pc cod + chips) but it's a pensioner's hangout.

I was the youngest person eating there :rukidding:

Sushi Mura - 8.5/10

Volcano Roll good as usual. Messed up one of the orders, but didn't bother making a big deal with it.

Pretty busy for a small restaurant.

Tamarind Hill on 6th in New West.

-----

Kyo AYCE Korean BBQ & Jap Sushi - 4/10.

Worst experience yet. AC was cranked so it was freezing, sushi and deep fried stuff took 30+ minutes to show up, and the D/F stuff was luke warm. (Assumed it sat for awhile). Had to get up and find someone when you wanted to order more or get refills, and the final straw.. Ran out of mango pudding.

Won't be going back for awhile, seems like whoever used to be in charge wasn't around.. or maybe new owner or new manager?
