Yea he sort of did by the end of last season. He did play 45 games up until February, until Ersberg stepped up and I think Barbs ended up being the back up. So he was always in the mix. This year he definitely lost his spot to Ersberg and Quick.

But like the other guy said this was a right fit, cheap and UFA next season.

Yea no kidding, anyone who signs him for more than 6M is getting ripped off! lol

LaBarbera played really well I thought. Kypreos said he was a step up from Sanford. I hate Kypreos as much as the next guy but he didn't seem to be wrong last night.

10 weeks? if he decides to get the surgery hes done for the year. It's his hip issues thats giving him the groin problems. I think that may be a good thing tho if we do try to go after him next year he will be cheap since all the issues hes said the last couple seasons.

Yea mang 10 weeks, he's fucked.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild star Marian Gaborik will have surgery on his injured left hip.

The Wild said on Friday that Gaborik is scheduled to have surgery on Monday and is expected to be sidelined about 10 weeks.

The team called Gaborik's injury a ''deficiency'' in his hip that has caused his chronic left groin pain.

The star right winger has missed 30 of 36 games this season. Since the league lockout in 2005, he has missed 86 games because of upper-leg injuries.

Gaborik is the last original member of the Wild.

we actually scored on a 5 on 3 :lol

CRX SiR 01-02-2009 05:11 PM

it was closer to a 5 on 2 1/2 when the one player had no stick. :p But it was good to see us finally get a goal in that situation.

BlackV62K2 01-02-2009 06:17 PM

No surprise we lost in the shootout.

Not really racist! 01-02-2009 06:19 PM

at least we got a point

bossxx 01-02-2009 06:19 PM

LaBarbera is fucking horrible. Why did we bother acquiring him?

Harvey Specter 01-02-2009 06:21 PM

Should have picked up 2 points and please fucking bench Bernier for the next game.

BlackV62K2 01-02-2009 06:24 PM

Bernier is useless. He's the next Pyatt.

bossxx 01-02-2009 06:27 PM

I thought we liked Bernier.

flawless 01-02-2009 08:03 PM

Bench Raymond too. Fuck I hate how he loves to stick handle around so much.

I think one could argue a shooter tooter might be a step up from Sanford so that's not saying to much. :)

jofo 01-02-2009 08:11 PM

Bernier has the potential to be so much more...but just never seems to actually get to that next step. The guy needs to hit everyone and get into the odd fight, skate to the net hard, get those rebounds and tip ins. He is only 23 so I still have some hopes for him still, but he definitely isn't earning his pay cheque these days

Totally agree, he's all show with no finish. Kind of reminds me of Ales Hemsky a couple seasons ago.

Notice how Raymond loses the puck to the opposing team way too many times when he just barges into the zone. I'm just praying there won't be an odd man rush.
