I think we've been doing that for the last 3-4 games that we lost in

Harvey Specter 12-04-2008 06:05 PM

Can't say the Canucks didn't try......the Canucks will need all the luck tomorrow night.

AzNightmare 12-04-2008 06:15 PM

omg, can't believe canucks lost with pylon scoring. This is an outrage.

haha at the goalie victory dance. For some reason, "Patrick Roy" was the first thing I thought about. Not sure why, maybe just because it's something I could imagine him doing.

fobulaus 12-04-2008 07:43 PM

we're 2 pts away from being bumped off the playoffs... theres a few more months but still... fuk

they're still 5th in the conference and 1 point out of 3rd, no need to jump off the bandwagon just yet

Harvey Specter 12-04-2008 08:13 PM

Thankfully the teams in the NW stink like shit. If we can come up with a win tomorrow and the Flamers lose we'll be back in first place in the NW, lol.

You guys are pretty annoying with this bandwagoner crap, Im just ranting my frustration watching them lose such a good early season lead...

1 point from 3rd, 2 points from 8th, depends on your perspective I guess....

Harvey Specter 12-04-2008 08:36 PM

We'll be back to our winning ways once we get Lu back and Sundin joins the team.

BlackV62K2 12-05-2008 12:10 AM

Alright 4 in a row......good job boys, good job! Lets see how much longer we can keep this awesome streak for.

Harvey Specter 12-05-2008 04:33 AM

Todd Kennedy picked a good time to score his first goal in Vancouver Giants colours.

Kennedy opened the scoring against the Regina Pats, his former team, Wednesday night and the Giants went on to a 4-2 win before a crowd of 6,083 at the Pacific Coliseum.

Kennedy, noted mostly for his toughness, came to the Giants with defenceman Curtis Kulchar in a Sept. 11 trade that saw veteran centre Mitch Czibere and a fourth-round pick go east. Kennedy had no points in 14 games this season heading into last night.

The Giants (22-2-0-3) also got two goals from winger Evander Kane and a single from defenceman Neil Manning. Tyson Sexsmith turned away 25 shots.

The Pats (17-12-1-3) got a goal from Matt Delaney on a 5-on-3 power play with 1:45 remaining to spoil Sexsmith's shutout bid.

Tomas Hricina added another on a power play with 40.8 seconds left.

Linden Rowat made 35 saves for Regina, who were in their fourth game of a five-contest B.C. excursion.

Kane stretched the margin to 4-0 shorthanded at 13:27 when he scored on his rebound after breakaway. Regina's Matt Delaney had botched the puck at Vancouver blueline to create the chance.

Regina was in the midst of a four-minute power play, thanks to Brent Regner getting an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after being whistled for holding callin.

Manning put Vancouver up 3-0 at 5:51 of the third, converting on his own rebound on a shorthanded 2-on-1 with.

Regina's best attempt of the middle period came in the waning seconds, as Sexsmith stoned Jordan Eberle in close.

The second half of the second stanza featured about six straight minutes of play without a whistle. It could have been a problem for the Giants, since No. 1 defenceman Jon Blum was in the penalty box on a coincidental minor call and couldn't get out.

The pace picked in the second period, with the teams trading chances through the first half of the stanza.. Vancouver probably had the best in the early going, as Casey Pierro-Zabotel fired high and wide on a semi-breakaway at 9:23, and Rowat sprawled to stone a pinching Brent Regner on a power play at 10:06.

Vancouver outshot Regina 12-2 in the frame.

The Giants upped the margin to 2-0 at 18:26 when Kane jumped on a loose puck on a broken rush and rifled a shot past Rowat for his 16th.

Kennedy took advantage of some great work by linemate Adam Basford to open the scoring at 14:50. Basford kept a puck in at the Regina blue line, circled down the left side and found Kennedy unchecked in front.

Vancouver's first legitimate opportunity came at 13:40, when Rowat needed to dart across the crease to thwart a Mike Piluso try.

The first few minutes of third had good pace but few chances.

Anyhoo from TSN:

According to the Ottawa Sun, Wild GM Doug Risebrough has offered injured winger Marian Gaborik around the NHL for a player who can help right away, a prospect and No. 1 pick, and isn't finding any takers.
