No...Kovalchuk + Demitra play D but who needs D when your line scores 6+ goals a game

winson604 12-06-2008 08:14 PM

sorry to waaaay off topic again but is anybody watching the San Jose vs Edmonton game. I haven't been able to really watch the Sharks play this year and only knew their record was insane but holy fuck their crazy. Roloson is standing his ground hard as the Sharks are owning the Oilers like nobodies business.

Back to the Nucks I hope this Sundin shiet comes to a real end soon. 10 million I think is crazy and I hate Sundin but having him on our team would be damn interesting. Sure we might not win the cup with him but you never know until you try and anything can happen. I am however worried what will happen next year with us needing to resign some players.

SumAznGuy 12-06-2008 08:36 PM

^^^ I was gonna say the game was so frigging fast. The puck movement and speed between the two teams was amazing. Imaging watching the game live at the rink.

I don't know why, but the game seemed wayyyy faster than any of the Canuck's game that was on TV.

Harvey Specter 12-06-2008 08:38 PM

Shit, Oilers won....4 points behind the Canucks now.

SumAznGuy 12-06-2008 09:10 PM

Dave Nonis has been hired by Brian Burke and the Maple Leafs as VP of hockey opperations.

No, but we got cap space. Use it or lose it? You can't deny he improves our chances in the playoffs and doesn't cost anything but money.

Harvey Specter 12-06-2008 09:53 PM

Sounds like the owners are willing to put up the money for Sundin so I guess would be a win win situation if we can land Sundin even if it's only for half a season.

And I admit I was one of the biggest Sundin haters when the story first broke in the summer but I’ve changed my opinion about him because he can really push this team forward offensively and set the Canucks up for a long run in the post season.

Technically, Sundin hasn't said anything about how much money he is asking for. His last contract was around $6mill a year and he did not sign right away on Gilles $10Mill a year offer.

One possibility is Sundin will only sign for the remainder of this season and decide again next year, in which case we would have that $10 mill in cap space for next year, assuming the cap doesn't change.

honestly i feel thats the best solution for both sides of the party... we get to test out this guy without forking out 20 mils, and sundin gets a chance to see if we have any potential to be cup winners

13 - Vancouver Canucks

Let's start by saying that one staffer here hates the current crest -- a C with an unidentifiable marine animal (we think) -- so much that it actually angers him. That said, this simple hockey stick isn't that much better, although it looks quite chic. But chic doesn't count for much in hockey unless you're Sean Avery. Vancouver, the only Canadian team without an iconic crest, should find one once they find an identity.

raygunpk 12-07-2008 02:58 AM

^So our logo should be Luongo's face?

F3 12-07-2008 03:00 AM

the only way i would want sundin is if he only signs for the rest of this year. If we get him for 2 years then his 10mil on the books next year will screw us over. you can say goodbye to ohlund and the sedins.

It says rating, but i'm not even sure if that's a real rating system from best to worst. Some logos like the Bruins and Coyotes look horrible, but they were shown first. And whoever rated them sound stupid. He sounds like a hater on every uniform.

trdees 12-07-2008 05:31 AM

Iam not hating or anything but IMO the canucks uniform design was the laziest

JesseBlue 12-07-2008 07:57 AM

seems like si is biased...c'mon..pittsburgh? coyotes?

Hondaracer 12-07-2008 11:00 AM

Personally I think I'd rather have sundin for 2 at 10mill over ohlund for 3 at 5

Eatman 12-07-2008 04:12 PM

wooo 1-0 nucks

fobulaus 12-07-2008 04:18 PM

oo go 4th line!

trancehead 12-07-2008 04:52 PM

Gh0stRider 12-07-2008 04:58 PM

damn, Phoenix is getting pwned!!!

Noir 12-07-2008 05:07 PM

Fuckin' Hell. Colorado is so bad, they're making Canucks look bad by keeping it a 1-0 game. wtf?

PavelGTR 12-07-2008 05:27 PM

Fuck Colorado

Grandmaster TSE 12-07-2008 05:38 PM

Harvey Specter 12-07-2008 05:41 PM
