wtf

how much did you bet??

Gumby 06-12-2009 09:04 PM

Yes, I was wishing ill upon Hossa earlier, but now I kinda feel sorry for him. You don't get many chances at winning the cup, and so far, he's 0-2.

$49M from Pittsburgh, but they never said how many years. Assuming a 5 year contract, it is $9.8M a year. But if it was a 7 year deal, then that is $7M a year.
He was 29 last year. Do you honestly think the Pens would offer him a 5 year or 6 year deal?
LeCavailer was 28 when he signed an 11 year $84 million dollar deal.

And anyways, all he has to do is sign one of those multi year contracts this summer, and I'm sure there are some teams willing to do it.

So I still stand at he did not take too much of a pay cut to play in Det.

learn to read? there's a direct quote from his agent in the article that says he took 85 million less to play for detroit. no need for addition there. chairmankaga also said the offer was 90+ million from EDMONTON. he wasn't referring to the contract offered from the pens.
regardless of how many years the contract is set for, he turned down guaranteed money for a one year shot. but for the record, i read it was rumored to be between 8-10 years..dont quote me on that though.

I love the CBC playoff montage. I can only dream that one day it'll be the Canucks celebrating as the clip comes to end.

^ Thank you

Hossa turned down $90+ MILLION in GUARANTEED money for this chance to win the cup.

If anything - people should be feeling bad for him and not the other way around. This isn't a case of a player ditching his former team to sign a huge money contract.

Harvey Specter 06-12-2009 10:44 PM

LOL @ Hossa.

Wow.. brought a tear to my eye..

amazing season.

Congrats to the pens, it's unfortunate crosby did not play a bigger role but I think just coming back was more of a captain/moral thing, he did enough and ensured his place in greatness

Crosby is IMO the undeniable better player in the Crosby vs ovechkin matchup and IMO Malkin although great is not at crosbys level. This is the first of many I'm sure and pitsbrugh should truely appreciate what they have

The term dynasty is only reseved for true greatness

pandalove 06-13-2009 12:25 AM

somebody find a video of hossa crying his ass off

Explain why he didn't get the MVP then?
