For anyone that cares, the Moose stay alive in the Calder Cup Finals winning 3 - 2 today. Goals by Hodgson, Grabner and Krog. Series is now 3 - 2 Hershey with the series going back to Manitoba.

Correction, his game he had 2 assist and was the second star.
Second game was when he scored his first "pro" goal.

Game 7 should be good, can't wait!

With all the money Gilles is putting into player devolpment (I don't get why they were not before) the young players are the future of the canucks not trading for someone with a crazy contract. In the cap era young is the way to go.

I doubt any of the managers in the top 7 would be willing to trade their pick unless there is severe overpayment. This is slated to be a strong draft year. Also, Duchene is looking most likely to go after Hedman and Tavares.

Heatley 7.5
Luongo 6.75
Sedins 11?

4 players, 45% long term cap hit.

You better have 4 playoff game breakers. I don't see 4 there. MG's not stupid.

AzNightmare 06-10-2009 04:32 AM

I have a feeling Game 7 won't be intense. Possibly a blowout and no show for one team...

Possibly. But judging from last night's game, I don't see any signs of either side burning out.

hotjoint 06-10-2009 08:11 AM

game 7 will be good

Hondaracer 06-10-2009 09:26 AM

LOL @ nucks being the strongest team in Canada for the forseeable future, all others are in disarray

How so?

Calgary has a pretty strong team with a good core.
Edmonton has one of the most promising futures with their maturing roster.

They need to find somewhere to fit Olli in Calgary and Phaneuf needs to bounce back first. Edmonton's success is dependent on their top line which is super inconsistent!

I find it funny Heatley would want to move to a Canadian West Coast team, it doesn't seem to be an upgrade over Ottawa, but that's just me.

CRS 06-10-2009 11:17 AM

Anyone know if they will be airing in BC the remaining games for the AHL playoffs?

They're on channel 4 if you have Shaw Cable. At least the game yesterday was on Ch4.

Yeah but it's not like the Canucks are without question marks on their own. It's been proven that Luongo can't do it all on his own, and that the Sedins despite being phenomenal regular season players still aren't Play Off impact players.

We also lose Sundin who's role is still yet to be filled. I seriously support the Canuck franchise but I just can't jump on the canuck-ego-bandwagon.

Agreed, which is what my last commented alluded to why would Heatley want to go to a canadian west coast team ahha.

Only certain games were aired and games 3-5 were aired but seeing as the calder cup hasn't been decided yet, I don't know if Shaw will be showing it.

This is why I asked the question about the remaining games.

CRS 06-10-2009 01:49 PM

Is it just me or does it say "Moose TV: Game six highlights" on the canucks homepage?

I thought it was only game 5 and that they have yet to play game 6?

no one wants to play in Edmonton.

Calgary doesnt have a coach, and has severe salary cap issues

the rest of the teams are much worse off than the Canucks

our cap position + players under contract + current team philosophy + tangibles = ahead of the rest.

Yes it does, typo on the Canucks part. Right below it even says "Highlights from the Manitoba Moose's 3-2 win over the Hershey Bears in the Calder Cup finals to force a game six in the series".

Go Moose!
