Lol..first time in habs 100 year history they start the season without a captain after numerous players turn it down, kostystin gets suspended and demands a trade

The mystique of Montreal leaving?

flawless 09-30-2009 09:18 AM

Sundin retires.

According to that article, both Kesler and Mitchell will be sporting the A as well.

I got an HD box over the summer? Will I be able to tell them apart now without using the numbers as "the" distinguishing feature?

:lol Its sad. I've followed the Franchise this long and I still can't facially recognize the twins from each other.

invader 09-30-2009 10:36 AM

So who are your guys sleeper picks in your hockey pools?

In RS2 H2H, 3rd round 49th overall.

He went really late in one of the pools I'm in I think most people forgot about him. Almost 140th overall in a 17 person pool.

I've read that in a game, one was waived out of the faceoff circle by the ref. He skated a small loop, and went back to take the faceoff regardless. Vignault has also yelled at the wrong twin for screwing up.

If the coaching staff and fellow players have trouble telling them apart, then you have nothing to feel bad about! :p

I heard Tom Larschai (sp?) tell the same story at one of the Canuck games last year. I can see it happen.

Kes and Willie were the As last year, along with Ohlund. Hank's basically getting Ohlie's A.

Gh0stRider 09-30-2009 12:51 PM

on the news, they said all 3 will be sharing the A's

well, he's out for a few months due to his surgery.

Hossa said he is on schedule to make his Hawks debut in late November.

Chairman Kaga 09-30-2009 12:53 PM

What a fucking joke this has turned into

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=293208

After months of back-and-forth disputes over who would ultimately obtain control of the Phoenix Coyotes franchise, Judge Redfield T. Baum has turned down both bids by the National Hockey League and Canadian billionaire Jim Balsillie.

willystyle 09-30-2009 01:47 PM

So, what's next?

CRS 09-30-2009 02:23 PM

Who the hell knows....

IMHO, just give the team to Balsille, it isn't like he doesn't have the funds to waste on the team. Besides, having another Canadian team would be great.

Fuck Bettman and his dumbass fetish for "American Hockey". Freaking retard needs to learn that not every american is going to like the sport.

Harvey Specter 09-30-2009 02:29 PM

The biggest losers in all of this is the players and coaches. Imagine playing infront of a empty building or a building full of people who don't give a shit about hockey but just came for the free hotdog and beer.

Hondaracer 09-30-2009 02:38 PM

alot dont even come for the free food..

fucking shitty deal for the players is right

raygunpk 09-30-2009 02:38 PM

This is why the NHL is considered a joke league.

It was mentioned here, that during the playoffs, it might have been more feasible to fly to St. Louis and watch the Nucks play there, than it is to buy scalper tickets here.

That being said, there are lots of deals in the smaller hockey markets in the US. I believe Nashville and Atlanta had cheap cheap tickets with free dinner included.

Harvey Specter 09-30-2009 03:45 PM

The Lighting and Jackets also offer free promo deals.
