yes I am doing the BBA at BCIT. Its a pretty sweet program. I really like the content and the teachers are really cool.

^ Which BBA program are you in? full time or part time? I just finished my post-diploma Business Management. Planning to do the BBA in the fall. The post-dip was terribly run. lol

dhari 05-29-2012 09:16 AM

^ part time.
Im taking a class from the Business Management program online as an elective and I hate the instructor. Such a douche. If he was someone's manager at a job he would have gotten bitched out by all of his subordinates lol

Oh boy 47% in working cap. Knowing that 1 question on the midterm was worth approx. 2.5% of your final mark just means I failed by 1 question :okay:

shit sorry to hear that bro, working cap was one hard freaken couse...
I lucked out hard and was able to pass. Those in class quizzes saved me

I doubt anyone will know the answer to this, I'd call BCIT but their offices are closed right now so it's worth asking here.

I wrote the Math 12 competency test last week as I needed to boost my mark up a little bit to get into my program. It was graded the same day, and also delivered to the admissions department that same day by a math department staff member.

The next day I submitted my application to my program in person to admissions on campus.

My question: Does anyone know if my math mark takes longer to be processed/updated into the system? On my bcit student self service I can see that my application has been processed but not yet reviewed. I'm worried that when my application is finally reviewed my file will only state my lower math mark due to my NEWER mark not being in the system yet, thus taking my application longer than it should.

I realize they state it takes 2-8 weeks to get a decision from admissions but my program is almost full so I'm on a time crunch

Aren't you allowed to apply for your program and save your spot? That's what I did (I'm still in grade 12). You pay 60$ to process your application, then you pay 200$ to save your spot, which goes to your tuition fee. After when you get all your marks, you can tell them and get accepted into the program.

I hope that answers your question.

BCIT is really slow with updating myBCIT. Whenever I handed in new stuff for my nursing application it would take at least 2 weeks to see it updated on the application status. They will probably just put your math results in your folder until they look at it, but just to be sure you could always contact the person in charge of making the decisions.

I WOULD email them because during my nursing orientation, which was around a month after my last finals, they gave us a list my nursing electives completed and none of the most recent semester's grades were included on my list.

Yeah, I took some programming while I was in CIT. Honestly, it depends on the instructor and if you like the language or not. That's a really vague question you got there.
