Yea, that's the downfall to it. Mechanical engineering was my second option on my application, my first and main was civil but i didn't get accepted. My plan is to take one year of mechanical and if i don't enjoy it, try to transfer or reapply to civil.

Anyone taking business management fulltime for september?? Hoping I will get accepted, took them 8 fucking weeks to receive my letter of intent lol... Was suppose to be going this semester

dboy 03-30-2012 04:51 PM

I have a question.
If I start Level 1 CIT full time in September 2012, could I take a semester off and start Level 2 in September 2013?

Or do they only teach Level 2/4 in January and Level 1/3 in September?

Anyone doing public health inspection? Would love some feedback on the demand for PHI's and just how the program is in general. Will probably sift through this thread to see if it pops up anywhere tonight. Thanks in advance!

1/3 in September. 2/4 in January. If your average mark is above 70, you can apply for co-op and maybe get a job in May. Your co-op terms are normally 4 months but I've heard of people doing 8 months and 16 months. In the case of 8 months, you skip term 3 and go straight to 4 -you then go back to school in the following September and finished term 3.

Anyone had Lorene Linklater? Apparently she will be my stats prof in sfu...

skylinergtr 04-19-2012 08:54 PM

hey guys,

just wanted to put this out there. I am a fellow BCIT student, and I drive and park my car at school everyday. I am now going to be more cautious of where I park my vehicle now...

At the end of the day today my friend noticed that his black honda civic coupe (i'm guessing year 2008) was brutally side swipped or nailed into at the student parking lot near SW9 (BCIT Burnaby). The car is pretty badly damaged on the left quater panel, and actually shifted the vehicle over to part of the other stall.

I know there is probably not much info given on the vehicle, but this is definitely a hit & run situation. If anyone knows any information or has witnessed this, please do PM me. This is on behalf of my friend/classmate.

Thanks!

I want to take CST @ BCIT but I live in Abbotsford. I have a car and COULD commute but gas is expensive as fuck.

What would you guys recommend?

GAGA 04-23-2012 07:07 PM

just park your car on the side street for free...

Honestly I would consider living on campus or closer to Burnaby. Commute to school is at least an hour every morning for me and I dont even have to cross the port mann. I can only imagine how long it would take you.
Also from what I have heard from CST students/potentials, they spend almost all of their time on campus anyway..
