Anyone know anything about the Dental coverage?

I wanna get my wisdom teeth pulled.

Carl Johnson 10-08-2011 10:57 AM

^
check the student resource center in the great hall. i am not sure about getting your teeth pulled but if you are full-time student you have dental insurance coverage.

I'm thinking about using the coverage to get my wisdom teeth pulled as well. Let me know if its possible with our student coverage.

Out of the Benefits pamphlet:

Extractions- 50% reimbursement, Limit 2 wisdom teeth per benefit year.
Annual Maximum for dental: $ 750 per year.

There is a time limit of when you can opt in for coverage (30 days from the start of your course iirc). Also a 6-8 week validation period from the start of your program.

SpuGen 10-11-2011 10:25 PM

So... Im in the Clear?
Started back in..June? End Dec 2nd.

Or wait.
I have to opt in for coverage?
The school was fuckin empty during Summer. BCITSA was closed, and nobody responded to my emails. In fact, they STILL dont respond to my emails. :( eff.

xmisstrinh 10-12-2011 04:51 PM

You might have to go visit the office. The lady that runs it is very knowledgeable, she has personally helped me on a couple occasions signing up and claiming benefits.

Besides there's always a couple cute girls in there :awesom:

Agreed, especially after a full work day in the winter when it's dark by 5pm

Peturbo 10-17-2011 02:31 PM

Just dropped by today to pay for tuition. I'll probably start going to this thread a lot once I start classes in January.
It's gonna suck being a broke student again. :okay:

Same here, just paid online, now the wait until January... I look at the end result though, given I don't fuck up in between.

I haven't been to class on time, and I haven't done shit in class for the past 2 weeks. And I still finished ahead of everybody. wee.
