So you need to get a new upass every month?

I'm planning on showing up for the first day to get a new student card and upass then withdrawing lol but if the upass is month to month it's not even worth it

The UPass is month to month. It's a monthly pass that looks exactly the same as the monthly passes you can buy at 7-11, London Drugs, etc, but recoloured blue.

Hi guys, I'm in need of some help.

Since the deadline for paying my fees for langara have passed, I've decided to finalize my decisions to go to BCIT. However, I am not quite sure on what to take. I am thinking of either taking Aircraft Maintenance, Airport Operations, Electrical, or Plumbing. Although, I do not have any knowledge on what these courses would lead me to. I'm not quite sure if I could handle the course load itself, and I am in need of some opinions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :fullofwin:

Reconsider Aircraft maintenance. I was enrolled in it just before I changed it to automotive. I ended up talking to a few of the grad from the program and a lot of them told me work was almost non existent. And where work was available, you'd have to relocate somewhere far. Most people (I knew) who did the program, ended up getting in to heavy duty mechanics afterwards.

Are you applying to take pre-app?

You could just try applying to a bunch of different electrical companies and maybe get lucky.
I never took pre-app, that stuff you can learn on the job.

Yep same here, Pre app is a long time to be in school to only get credit for 1st year. When you could be out on a job site actually getting paid and learning as you go.

Are there any /fun/ clubs at BCIT? Everything in the club listing seems to be vocation oriented.

Err, I'm not quite sure on what pre-app is. I applied for the Electrical Foundation program and I'm not sure if I have met the requirements. So, I'm going to take the BCIT Trades Pre-Entry test, if that's what you're talking about. Yeah, I'm a bit confused as well; it's a bit stressful. Haha.

Do you mean, that I should be applying to different electrical companies after first year, when I'm about to start on my apprenticeship or something? I honestly have no clue about this stuff. The councilors didn't really help much as well. I was thinking of going to BCIT today to ask for more help from them.

I have no experience with this stuff. :okay:
