I'm positing that the cops have their own surveillance team working with cameras and video recorders, how easy would it have been for the cops to weed out the criminals, if all the bystanders just left the core and went home.

Being on the roof is a different story, you're not one more person the VPD has to worry about. The rioters just blended in the crowd, that was their strength and protection, without the crowd/the mob, they would've been thoroughly exposed.

I spent a few hours this morning cleaning up with volunteers. There was a good amount of volunteers, I saw at least about a hundred.
All of the stores that had broken glass were boarded up, or in the process of boarding up. Some of the places had so much broken glass that they were using shovels to scoop up the glass.
On a good note, most of the glass was cleaned up by the time I left.

Did not realize so many cars got torched. 9 in that pic alone.

As should the VPD. Didn't someone post their friend who is VPD called in to see if they needed anyone on standby incase of a riot and was told not to worry, that they didn't expect one?

Always expect the worst when a large group gathers. Especially when most of them are valley trash and I LIVE in the valley and will admit it... lol, these people bring such a bad name to not only Vancouver but all the outlying areas.

What you can do to help RS!

1. Feel free to post pictures but if you have private information such as numbers/addresses..keep it to yourself and send it to the VPD. We don't need to stoop to these losers level and call them to give them hell. Please remember, these people have families too and just because someone from their family did something wrong..doesn't mean they deserve punishment as well. Please respect their families and let the proper Authorities do the talking for us.

2. If you know of any RS members who were part of this, report it to VPD AND a mod of your choice. RS has ZERO tolerance to bad behaviour and bad seeds aren't need on this forum community. We will not miss them from this site.

3. If you suspect stolen goods are being sold on RS, report it ASAP.
