here is a picture of the mount on my windshield, uses double sided tape.

going to tuck the wires under the headliner and down the a pillar and door seal to the center compartment.

here is a video of me driving down clark at night. the camera records in 720p, so don't watch it in 1080p.

Blackvue DR400G night shot - YouTube

the speed thing at the bottom left is inaccurate i think

cost: $301.57 with free shipping, got it at my door in 2 days.

That's the best night time quality by far! Where did you order it from and no duties?

i got it on ebay. you can order directly from pitasoft, the manufacturer's website but i don't know if they'll charge shipping/duties.

the price posted is the price i paid, which is strictly for the camera, no shipping, no duties, no tax.

Prolowtone 12-15-2011 02:44 AM

No bad at all, Pretty clear at night so i would suspect it is really good during the day

Sky_High 12-15-2011 04:26 AM

Is there anyyy way to disable the speed from being displayed?

Kinda like how digital cameras, you can delete to have the "date" or "time" to be incorporated into the photo or not.

+1 on if you can turn off GPS especially if it's calibrated to read higher Lol.

Thanks in advance!

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

i see there are cheaper ones. some even include powermagic, which is an inverter that keeps the camera running while your car is parked. but i would email the seller first to confirm.

unfortunately, you can't turn gps off.

this camera records in 1080p @ 30fps btw.

Do you leave the camera in your car when you park it though? Doesn't that increase the chance of people breaking into your car?

If not, is it a hassle removing it and reattaching it each time?

Video Quality looks great!

Anyone have a DIY on how to hardwire it to your car?

mb_ 12-23-2011 08:52 PM

RCubed did it I think. For now, I just ran it through the passenger a-pillar and through some trim pieces.

along the headliner, down the side of the A pillar, down between the dash and door, then under the glove compartment through to the centre console into the cigarette lighter.

Any switch ignition source would do.

For example: + from the cig fuse, ground behind the driver's kickpanel. Wires in the A-pillar.

Suction cup Won't stick and falls off in the black area. :failed:

Gonna move it towards the passenger side beside the black area. Right now I barely notice it when I drive.
