noticed my g1w with capacitor no longer records if it's been sitting outside on nice days even if it's under shade. After parking in a garage it's totally fine.

so should I invest in a more expensive one or are they all kinda prone to heat issues after a year or two...capacitors or not?

I had a blackvue and I will not buy another one of their products.......reliability is questionable. There are cheaper cameras out there that has a better operating temp range.

TOPEC 09-13-2016 04:35 PM

and my 3 blackvues, DR400, DR650, DR750 are all still working great

ps: the DR400 was first purchased from a groupbuy either on RS or another forum when it was first available, still working perfectly lol

How often are you having to clean the lenses?

lilaznviper 09-13-2016 11:42 PM

same, still have the DR400 from the group buy and still working great
just bought a dr650 and its been great

akira112 09-15-2016 03:35 PM

My DR400-II is shit.
Battery is dead, lens is always hazed, too lazy to constantly pull and clean.
Since the batt is fukked the abrubt shutdowns are wrecking the sd cards as well.
Even when i see it running, lot of time there's no vid on the sd card.

Guy hit two parked cars then took off.

Always have mine running and when I am parked I let the Power Magic Pro, power the unit.

I have the DOD LS360W, it works great.

Video quality is downgraded here when I ripped it for youtube - *warning language*:

^ fuck, there were people standing on that corner, any news on them?

optiblue 09-24-2016 12:46 AM

Drove by there earlier. Seems like the pedestrians got the brunt of it.

FerrariEnzo 09-24-2016 11:44 AM

Was that Taxi really backing up? I dont think that would be a good idea.. if something under the vehicle was to puncture the guy, wouldnt it cut him wide open??

If there was enough people, lifting it up and off the body and then pull him out...

Reeyal 09-24-2016 12:59 PM

OH wow... FailFish

StylinRed 09-24-2016 01:33 PM

oh god thats horrible

Berzerker 09-24-2016 02:04 PM

Taxi was way late going through that intersection. Probably traveling to fast for conditions and couldn't stop in time so decided to go through. Light changed RED at point of impact. Poor decision on RSX driver too. Now innocent bystanders pay the price. Fuck.

Berz out.

Anyone else have issues with the rear cam on the DR650GW-2CH?

Mine will turn on if I reboot from the PMP, light comes on, then it will proceed to record maybe 1 or 2 clips then no longer work. Blackvue app will connect to rear cam but doesn't show a picture

The front still works fine I guess but kinda defeats the purpose of getting a 2ch.

sooooo reliable.....

Mr.Money 09-26-2016 07:56 PM

video's private,nobody died from injuries,right?

When you say work 1 or 2 clip, you mean only the rear camera and the front will keep recording? How is you rear camera installed? Is the rear cable always flexing when you open the rear hatch? If so it is probably a bad cable.

LP700-4 09-26-2016 09:25 PM

Yup front will keep recording. No hatch, 4 dr sedan so camera doesnt move.

Its consistent; every time I reboot the system the rear will start recording with the front for like 2 clips then crap out. I haven't unplugged the rear cam ever.

No issues here. Unplug the cord for rear camera and check the wire, I've read that they are easily bent during installation.

If you look inside the cable there's a very thin pin. Make sure it's not bent on both ends, and make sure you didn't forcefully insert it (ha!).

There's supposed to be a little gold showing when it's fully plugged in. Warranty it if it persists. Mine's perfectly fine.

How's the quality? Was thinking of purchasing one or wait for the A119s model.
