That 4Runner has a stop sign, so you should be fine.

When my car got hit and run, ICBC had my dashcam video for evidence and contacted my witness (who's my coworker) and he told me when ICBC contacted him, they said the guy denied hitting my car despite the video evidence. wtf? lol.

A few weeks after that, I just receive a cheque from ICBC in my mail reimbursing my deductible.

No real closure, and information is all confidential...

The lady who hit and run my car got a ticket for not remaining at the scene of the accident. Dumb bitch denied hitting me until the cops showed her my dash cam footage. She later admitted to it but said I took off instead. Cops didn't believe it for a second.

I noticed he was going, he tried to cut past the downhill traffic multiple times as well. If the person in my shoes didn't notice he was going, who would be at fault if there was a collision?

The guy with the stop sign is in the wrong.

How often do you guys format the memory card for your dash cams?
Would you say that it's better to format via the dash cam menu or through the computer?

SSM_DC5 01-30-2017 09:02 AM

I format with the computer whenever I hook it up to the computer, but that's not very often. once a year?

The person I bought it from suggested I format with computer every few months.

Just installed a FineVu CR500HD in my dad's CX-5. There's a plastic cover that routes and hides the wire for the auto dimming mirror and homelink, works perfectly to hide some of the wire.

Acura604 02-19-2017 11:49 AM

...another DR650GW-2CH question.... what firmware are you running?

Gh0stRider 03-18-2017 07:00 PM

Is there a way to export both front and rear cam footage into one file? Picture in Picture

i want the rear cam in the corner of the front cam footage like in the desktop app.

like in this one

Acura604 03-18-2017 07:18 PM

Trying to figure out why I get that black hazy effect along the bottom?

its wierd because it happens with both the 650gw and the 650s yet before I got this, i had the older dr380 doing the rear and it did not have any of that black hazy effect... what exactly is it? should i aim it differently? its brand new..do i have to clean the lens???

video 1: dr380 in rear of 2017 acura rdx (35% privacy glass)

video 2: dr650s in rear of 2017 acura rdx (35% privacy glass)

video 3: dr380 in rear of 2013 acura rdx (35% privacy glass)

Hm..
The only thing I can think of is the fish style lens that might be in the 650. With the fish eye lens and the curve of the rear window, both can create that black hazy effect.

As a test, mount the rear 650 at a different spot with less rear window curve and see if that changes things.

Vancouver police look for suspect vehicle after hit-and-run - BC | Globalnews.ca

My vehicle was parked about 1/2 a block down from where this happened. My rear camera is broken so unfortunately it didn't catch the actual incident. The footage on my front camera caught the sound of the incident and the vehicle in question driving away.

I have submitted the footage to the VPD and waiting for further action. Let's hope they catch this person.

UPDATE: A 67 year old man has turned himself into Police and is awaiting charges and further investigation

Some twat in Richmond throwing aa batteries out the window.

Badhobz 04-06-2017 08:41 PM

when the temperature gets high do you guys remove your dash cams? It got pretty warm last few days in the sun. Dont know if the constant high heat of summer is good for these electronics .

SSM_DC5 04-06-2017 08:58 PM

I never remove my cams, but when I run my A/C, I aim it at the windshield. Too much heat is never good for electronics, but approx 5 years of usage, they're still running ok. Aside from needing new internal batteries

Badhobz 04-06-2017 09:01 PM

I got this little thing on sale for my corolla (Kinjadeals had a coupon code to make it like 50 bucks)

https://www.amazon.ca/Vantrue-N1-Min.../dp/B01A4YUITY

but im a bit worried the internal lith-ion battery might explode when expose to heat. I guess ill blow the a/c on it during summer. Thanks for the tip

I left my suction mounted dashcam in the car all summer, with the car facing west.

After a year, the suction mount warped/melted enough that the dashcam separated from the suction cup. :lawl:

Finally started using my blackvue dashcam, still figuring how to edit the time and other things lol

Almost got into an accident.
But now reviewing the footage, I think many people would have initiated the turn based on the scenario, but he technically has the right of way?

Who's fault if something had happened?

I would think you'd be at fault in this case. Generally, I'd be watching the driver going straight and make 100% sure they are stopping before making the left turn. Admittedly though, it's a bit of a douche move on the other cars part to try to run a stale orange light.
