FUCK YES.

I have to stop wearing so many of my pants if I want to continue to do squats. I have to finally retire a pair of nudies I've been working on for 2 years. Sigh.

But getting big is better ;)

uhg 2nd week of no carbs sucks, i guess more cause ive got no food to eat lol, gotta go shopping

goal is to go until next saturday because i'm going on a big sturgeon fishing event and there's gonna be beer's and good lunches on the boat and a nice dinner after so i think i'll have to have some carbs that day lol, 3 weeks not bad i guess for first time trying it, and after that just going to limit carbs and always take salads over fries etc.

I'm more of a lurker in this thread, but been lurking for a while.

I'm in the same boat as you. Day 14 of 30 no carbs. Its not as bad as I thought it would be, but I'm taking in more carbs then I thought I would cause I drink alot of milk. So far so good tho, lost about 10 pounds

uh there is no way you are going into ketosis if you are drinking a lot of milk.. If you are losing the weight then keep doing it and dont worry about it but if you want to see what it feels like to actually be on a keto diet cut out the milk..

ws6ta 10-10-2010 02:28 PM

okay so how many carbs can we eat to stay in keto? how much fat? how much protein?

milk is a no-no

Keto stage is under 30 grams of carbs per DAY as far as i know

SkinnyPupp 10-10-2010 08:51 PM

Heading back to the gym today after a week off. My wrist still clicks, but it isn't as painful. I'll either do lighter deadlifts today, or maybe even just to single leg deadlifts with dumbbells. Those are pretty good actually - if you are stuck on a certain weight on DL's, try these for a while, I bet they'll improve your numbers.

Anyway off I go

Alpine50 10-10-2010 10:47 PM

Headed back to the gym after 3 months.......... Yeah not impressed with myself but was going through a lot of personal issues couldnt really afford the gym, slowly getting things back together so im canning fitness world going to try and come up with a plan so I don't get charged for cancelling. Going to fleetwood rec centre now $12 a year lol how could I not switch. Hopefully they got a squat rack tho that's all I'm sorta worried about but whatever I need to save money. Going to give jack3d a chance to see how it goes

Yeah, thanks for the heads up. When I started two weeks ago I only intended to cut back on pasta, rice, bread, etc for a month. I didn't look into keto stuff.

Starting tomorrow though il eliminate milk and yogurt.

Yeah ketosis isn't as important as just not having any insulin spikes.

Well I found out which exercise fucked up my wrist - it was the decline barbell press. As soon as I tried a rep with an empty bar, I could tell right away. Well that and chinups hurt too. THANKFULLY it wasn't dead lifts! I can still do those :)

I replaced the bench press with standing cable press, and chinups with neutral grip. Seems OK!
