Im starting to get back into the swing of things now since the holidays are over…
5 days a week, alternate days between arms and abs; shoulders ; legs and pecs and back.

I was doing my chest exercises on the same day as my arms, but I find that I am not able to give 100% since If I work my biceps and tris first, I am already fatigued. This way, I can push a little more, although my leg days are turning into quite a lengthy work out, at about 2 hours.

My workouts at least 1.25 hours, usually about 1.5 after stretches and warm up.

RRxtar 01-28-2010 07:15 PM

ya it depends on what the exercise is. some things, like when im doing back and tri's together ill take maybe 15-20 seconds between each set going from one exercise to the other. but things like squats and deads and heavy benching ill take 2 minutes.

i never have a 'set rest time' tho, its just as long as it takes the immediate rush to settle and to have a drink and reset for the next set.

Biceps was not good today :(

mc25 01-28-2010 09:04 PM

Whys that? My biceps felt pretty solid…my triceps even better.

!Yaminashi 01-28-2010 09:22 PM

Im not sure, maybe I just wasnt feelin it today...
But my arms gave out alot sooner than they usually do.
I've done heavier weight before too. My buddy was spotting me and he even said
"Yeah i could feel your arms just give out on the last rep"

I have nothing against isolation exercises (as long as it's not all you do) and even splitting. But biceps day? Really?

Is that a problem?

SkinnyPupp 01-29-2010 10:00 AM

To me it isnt, but you make it seem like having a day here n there for biceps is blasphemy?

RRxtar 01-29-2010 10:39 AM

seriously, for a guy whos not in any kind of shape at all, unless 'built-fat' is a shape, but IMO, id just call you out of shape, you sure seem to have all the answers to call out EVERY SINGLE PERSON who posts in this thread. people who enjoy going to the gym every day and make progress, while you seem to enjoy sitting on the computer talking shit about it.

ps: here comes the fail button!

L0uie69 01-29-2010 11:30 AM

whats purpose is there to have a bicep day? You can curl more because you're fresh?

hal0g0dv2 01-31-2010 09:41 PM

new work out schedule starting tomorrow
cant wait

SkinnyPupp 02-04-2010 12:08 PM

The gyms here are all those poser fancy ass ones, with really nice decor, brand new machines, and all that other bullshit. But luckily, the weight rooms hardly get used at all. People stick to the machines, leaving their awesome brand new free weights and cables free to use (even for circuits! woo!).

But fuck is it ever expensive.
