iono man.. deadlifting 4 plates on each side is pretty damn heavy alrdy, its a matter of not slipping when your trying to pull the weight up. fml. its frustrating because i know i can do it but my grip isn't strong enough to hang on.. :(

yes, buy a 6 set of iron grips.. i can find the site for you and send you a link.. i bought them and they are great u can use it at work or whenever and u build great grip strength with them. they also workout ur forearms

2 month goal…gain up to 190 (from 182) and then switch diet to lower cal and fat intake, and increase cardio to 5 times a week, 30 mins minimum (do this for 2 months to reduce bf% in time for hte summer ;) )

As for the grips, Ive developed good grip by doing db shrugs, and also doing wrist flexor exercises. I do 225 deadlifts with no straps, so my grip is pretty decent.

hud 91gt 02-19-2010 11:09 AM

Deadlifts have increased my grip strength haha. I used to have trouble holding onto 225, now up to 295. The only time I have grip troubles is when my hands get sweaty. Chalk would help with that I assume.

I've been using Mus-L Blast... wonder if anyone has heard of this brand before?
(A Review of it) http://www.nicemuscle.com/mus-l-blast-2000-79698.htm

I've never seen it in Canada, I get it from Rite aid in Bellingham.

Been about 6 weeks since my last workout I think. And with all the nasty junk food in Japan, eating late at night right before bed, and drinking every other night, I have a LOT of work to do when I get back. Yeow!

hal0g0dv2 02-21-2010 09:01 PM

Went to see the doc today about my neck and sternum injury. Prescribed some anti inflammitory's and says i'll be good in a few days. I somehow doubt it, but I would be ecstatic if it was true.

Oleophobic 02-22-2010 07:08 PM

new PR for deads 285x3 w00t
not bothering with a 1rep max

felt like shit prior to workout but good thing i forced myself to go

mc25 02-22-2010 07:19 PM

3 reps I say is b etter than 1. Unless you just do that 1 as an extra set, but I wouldnt count it other wise (just do it for fun).

I went skiing today (first time! Expert snowboarder though, switched it up). Got home, tried to go to the gym, left after 30 minutes and only did some shitty sets of triceps and chest. Ah well, I tried lol.

Yeah I'm neglecting going to the doc my knees are sore when I squat, but I keep making gains. Do most of you guys take fish oil

I've always figured when it comes to soreness due to working out, going to the doctor is pointless because it will just result in "take a couple ibuprofen and take it easy for a while"

incubus 02-22-2010 11:07 PM

i take 1 tbl spoon of udos plant oil 2 times aday should i switch over?

i mix it with my protein

i take 10 gel capsules a day (1000mg each)

mc25 02-23-2010 02:19 PM

1 halibut liver oil capsul + 1 multi vitamin.

Im pretty sure taking 10 will do nothing, you are probably pissing a lot away, since your body doesnt need that much of those vitamins. Look up daily requirements, and then what each capsule contains.

Oleophobic 02-23-2010 04:05 PM

lustful-trance care to explain whats wrong with taking 10g of fish oil a day

incubus 02-23-2010 04:09 PM

haha didnt know i failed you my bad

i picked up some white flood, multi vitamins and plant oil lol

!Yaminashi 02-23-2010 07:41 PM

I heard white flood's good stuff
Fuck I ALWAYS forget to do close grip bench FML
