Here's a video of my 500lb squat.

what type of bicycle did you ride? :troll:

Anyone feel depressed after a workout? I don't know what it is but I've been feeling it the past week and on occasion during the summer, last 3 workouts actually but they were great. I even managed to hit some PR's. But afterwards I feel really down, and seriously like sometimes crying for no reason. I was embarrassed to talk to my co workers about it, because I actually don't know what it is.

I also haven't had any energy or motive to do anything else until it was time to workout.

Just want to see if some of the regulars might have experienced this.

Haha I sound insane, but I'm going to see someone about it scheduled this week.

edit: @strykn, I was at 515 for 4(DL) in august before a injury. Will report back asap with new number. Been focusing on squats, and box squats for recently

sounds like symptoms of nolva/clomid but if natty, its probably due to your sleep cycle... happened to me before when I wasn't getting enough sleep

The only thing I get depressed about after a workout is knowing the next day is a work day
Oh and going home from the gym when its dark. There's something about going home while the sun is still up that makes me feel good.

I miss summer :okay: my gym would open their bay doors and it was always awesome during the summers

Those are signs of overtraining.

First day back training with a broken toe. 4 days ago I couldn't put my bodyweight on my foot, today I plan on putting my bodyweight + 4 plates if I can push myself that hard. Only as weak as you let yourself be :) Rackpull and shoulders day aw yeah!

as you increase the weight... 10 reps will be too much

6insomnia9 10-17-2011 05:12 PM

It isn't like I can't handle it , I push it.

well i mean eventually.. you don't plan using the same weights forever do you

and depending on how many exercises you do for that muscle group .. it can be overkill

see.lai 10-17-2011 07:57 PM

good pump at the gym, even though my deadlifts went down.. everything went up :fuckyea:

TouringTeg 10-17-2011 08:17 PM

I've got had a down feeling after trying for a couple months to break through OHP PR on 5x5. Can get frustrating.

Berzerker 10-17-2011 08:27 PM

I've plateaued with with body weight it seems but my lifts are still going up. Mostly back as it's a group I neglected before so it's taking to the new training well. Other parts like chest and arms are struggling to gain.

Berz out.

haha those new bars are pretty cool. the middle one seems unusually high though. wonder what else they gonna add to that empty space. more squat racks hopefully.

insomniaK 10-17-2011 10:04 PM

Think i tweaked my lower back doing squats.
Finally got to a weight where i was being challenged with 5x5 and my form got sketchy on the last rep when i pushed for it :feelsbadman:

RRxtar 10-17-2011 10:22 PM

at the gym today one of the trainers said the 2 idiots that i post on here all the time about that are always grunting and wearing straps and belts for tri extensions and shit broke an olympic bar by loading 9 plates per side on it (855lbs) to try to do shrugs and dropped it and it landed on one side first and bent the shit out of it.

:seriously::fulloffuck::facepalm::yuno:

went to the gym today for about the 3rd time in my life. Cooked up some strykyn lean ground beef earlier today too. I'm extremely out of shape, Went from 160-210-195 in the past year. I weigh 195lbs and had trouble squatting 135, incline dumbell benching 80lbs total, flat bench was 120lbs. But gotta start somewhere.
