One thing I have noticed it that my stomach capacity is a lot smaller. It doesn't take nearly as much to make me full. While that makes it easy to keep calories down for cutting, it is a bit more difficult to get in enough protein. I'm at about 150g so far today

LC21 10-09-2011 06:14 AM

What are the pros and cons of A2G squats vs parallel squats?

SkinnyPupp 10-09-2011 06:16 AM

A2G squats = it's a squat

Parallel = you can do more PLATES

Spoiler!

LC21 10-09-2011 07:28 AM

Damnnn A2G's are fun.

I only had mushrooms and broccoli + chicken .. fucking $30 later I'm still hungry. WTF U GRILL, coulda had a fucken steak. Never going U-grill again, its for skinny people. No way in hell can you fill up there.

@halogod/strykn

Creatine with your morning tea/coffee:

I'm loading creatine (I haven't started taking it yet) and I want to load it properly. Can I just take 20g in the morning for 5 days, then keep going steady at 5grams? Will that be okay for loading phase?

Also, does creatine ever expire? I got an older bottle + a newer one. Both are same type of creatine.

Lol stay away from places that charge per weight. Meat is always thin, and veggies on the heavy side.

Mongolian grill on robson/denman ftw. Charge per bowl

I go as deep as my knees want me to go. I have bad knees so I listen to them on how deep I go. I was thinking about getting some wraps or better supports. I have a support for one of my knees but I would prefer to have both on equal footing.

Berz out.

Girlfriend had a Thanksgiving dinner with lots of food left over.
Feasting on a ridiculous amount of turkey and sweet potato :megusta:

i cant even come close to touching my ass to my heal on the left side. knee just doesnt work like that anymore.

but i still go deep enough that i can feel it in my ass and even inside my legs and basically everywhere for the next 3 days. so abit deeper than parallel does, infact, work more than just quads.

SkinnyPupp 10-09-2011 06:42 PM

Yes it does, below parallel is the key, not a2g. That's what I posted from Rippetoe

Fack I am sore today, I don't think I ate enough yesterday. I'll have to eat a bit more today so I can recover enough to kill it again tomorrow.

BTW if you find that dips hit your triceps more than your chest, try using a WIDER station. And lean forward. It is harder for me, because my triceps are more developed than my chest. Once you get strong enough, you can almost go completely horizontal and do pushups in midair :fuckyea:

strykn 10-09-2011 08:47 PM

what if i'm too wide for all the stations? :troll:

SkinnyPupp 10-09-2011 08:48 PM

SOL I guess :troll:

I found one of those 'assist' dip/chin machines that has adjustable bars. I always used a narrower grip because it was more comfortable and I could do a lot of weight. But then I realized, weightlifting isn't supposed to be comfortable, it's supposed to be fucking tough. Kills your chest!

SkinnyPupp 10-09-2011 08:51 PM

Saw these on T-Nation today, they look fucken brutal

hal0g0dv2 10-09-2011 09:18 PM

BrRsn 10-09-2011 11:27 PM

I'm getting sick of 5x5, I feel bored going into workouts ... the workouts are tough, but I loved the bodybuilding style of weight lifting. I miss the pump ..

That's what my friend said to me before. I haven't talked to him in the gym since.

MarkyMark 10-10-2011 05:09 PM

Pretty sure every noob that starts working out wants to look like brad pitt in fight club lol. "I don't wanna get huge" is what they all say. Don't worry, you won't even if you tried lol

vafanculo 10-10-2011 06:39 PM

I don't mind working out through some pain, but if I got flu like symptoms, especially sore throat, drowsiness, I've learned to stay in bed and enjoy the day off. Will just equal to a shitty workout, plus get more sick.
