Notice that this year, McDs has an Oat Milk option for iced coffees now. And they don't even charge you an extra dollar for it! |
The Cookie Butter Oat Milk Cold Brew (god i feel disgusting typing all that) was actually quite good |
I imagine that would be a hard upsell when coffee is $1 right now lol. If anything, I'd expect a jump in price once September rolls around. |

I did actually have to BS a story one time, but closed it off with "The court case is technically still ongoing, so I can't talk too much about it..." :awwyeah: |

Just ordered Chicken Nuggets from Burger King at Metrotown. $2 for 8 pieces. Not bad. For what it is. Only today with app. Part of their bonus deals. One deal per day this week. |
Sounds like you are committing infidelity from Safeway Tues 2 piece fried chicken! |

I read something about if you have diabetes, you have to be very careful with oat milk because it's carbs and it converts to sugars |
I got a notification for another 2 days of 10c/L discount at Chevron on May 28-29th. Check your Journie app. I hate that name. |
$2 for 2 pieces of fried chicken, and $2 potato wedges at Safeway on Tuesdays. https://scontent.fyvr3-1.fna.fbcdn.n...TA&oe=683BD591 This is not my picture, but we are looking at $4's worth of food here. I've been having the chicken for the past few Tuesdays as $2 for a drumstick + thigh is really a loss leader for Safeway. The chicken itself is no better or worse than KFC / Church's, but even KFC Tuesdays are like $4 now, where the pieces are slightly smaller than what Safeway gives you, and you get at most <1/3 of the fries compared to what you get from Safeway. |
I keep forgetting to try this out... |
I should really get that when my son has TKD right across the street from Save On's every Tues |
looks like KFC original recipe style chicken. For that price, you cant go wrong. |

MG1 was the OG on this Safeway deal about a month ago. Yah, for kicks, it'll do the job but don't be going once a week! |
i did a solo trip over last week. took the 6am over and the 10pm back the next day. (ferry saver, car and driver $49 each way) skipped breakfast and lunch, filled up on free coffee until dinner and had some budget AYCE sushi by myself like a fat fuck :awwyeah: https://tnstatic.net/attachments/thu...6-jpg.1112111/ |
Was it good for the money? Where was this? |
i always knew it was richmond sushi but i guess they renamed it richmond ninkazu now. i give it a 7 out of 10, not sure if it was worth the $44 but i would go again. |
Try gyubee richmond for ayce lunch next time. More bbq than sushi but cheaper and decent quality |
There's also the ayce sashimi spot at Aberdeen https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJMv8...B4amU0YnRoYzR1 |
That got me curious and I looked in gmaps and lots complain about the AYCE lunch being super slow for service. Like over 30 minutes for the first round |
That's always been the strategy from AYCE owners lol. Delay, delay, delay and suddenly your table is at it's time limit. "I'll go check on your order" *order arrives with half of it missing* "Last call didn't arrive? Oh no, that's a shame, let me check" Better pay your bill and gtfo so they can repeat this again for the next table. |
Friends who tried the Aberdeen AYCE also experienced worse-than-usual order delays (even for AYCE standards). I joined them a second time with a reservation right at opening hour and service was fine - the restaurant is likely too understaffed for the volume of orders, than intentionally slowing orders down. Quality is pretty solid for their asking price. |
