Free small slurpee day today at 7-11s (while quantities last).

Side note - I went to the one at Knight & 33rd and they had a stack of colouring sheets, where you can bring it back for a free slurpee again. I overheard a bunch of kids saying they don't want to have to colour for another free slurpee. Spoiled brats! :flamemad:

Was at the Braid Street 7-Eleven location this morning. That place is awesome. I think there were four Slurpee machines there (8 spouts). Filipino workers, I think. Great people. One of the few locations that have chicken burgers. I guess they have a deep fryer?

Anyway, every Friday, they have a deal for a chicken burger and wedge fries for $3.99. It's on a decent bun and of course all the fixin's that's normally there for their hot dogs and shit.

I also got wings for 71¢ each (today only). The Slurpees were not big, but not dinky size. Also got really nice cupcake and a few other things. Also nice seating area. Was at H Mart and wanted to go Ikea. Only reason I was out that way.

acrophobia 07-11-2025 07:51 PM

Castrol Edge motor oil on sale at walmart. 39.99

Stupid costco is more expensive at 46 dollars per 5L bottle
https://www.costco.ca/castrol-edge-5...100146178.html

Also did you guys know that Castrol has an ENGINE warranty program!!?!? WTF

https://www.castrol.com/en_ca/canada...y-program.html

So im obviously low IQ. i didn't even read the fine print that COSTCO has 25 bucks off upon check out.

So costco still wins

bcrdukes 07-30-2025 07:16 AM

I think Pennzoil has a similar program, but like the Castrol program, you have to read the fine print and use the oil exclusively to infinity and beyond. What this means for Badhobz: Because you use Kirkland Brand oil, no warranty for you!

Neat that the Castrol program covers bore scoring. Where are all the Porsche fanboys?

Edit: You can't DIY. You have to bring it to a shop for the oil change to qualify.

Badhobz 07-30-2025 07:20 AM

on the ratrolla ive only used castrol edge so ive registered the ratrolla to the program. Weird thing is that it required an "installer" address. I didnt read anywhere that it has to be installed by a professional or a shop, so i put in my home address and the installer's name was ME BADHOBZ MEEEE!!!! <-- that probably voids the warranty right off the bat.

bcrdukes 07-30-2025 07:21 AM

Garage Badhobz should do the trick.

Badhobz 07-30-2025 07:34 AM

what a fucking cop out. Lousy castrol

why would a bs little oil change place use castrol oil instead of the cheapest walmart / kirkland garbage oil. There isnt a single shop around here that uses expensive oil unless you tell them to do it, and then youre paying a crap ton more.

Save on Foods, 25% off all steaks until Aug 6.

I know it's not the deal of the century, but steaks are so expensive now that anything helps, especially if you're me and SOF is the closest/most convenient place to shop.

MG1 08-14-2025 11:55 AM

PNE entry fee is half price on opening weekend (Saturday and Sunday). $7.00.

This should be in the freebies thread, but if you have an Encore Card (gambling). Free entrance Saturday only. You plus one! Must have valid ID and show your Encore Card at entrance to get free pass. If you don’t have an Encore Card, go to any casino and get one. It’s free.

probably home depot on still creek / dawson.
it's been probably 10+ years since i had it done there, but if it isn't a good fit, IIRC they'll take it back and recut it for you with a receipt.

Hondaracer 08-20-2025 12:10 PM

They have an automatic machine now at Home Depots, it’s like $4 a key

I’ve had 5-6 different keys both for my front door as well as pad locks and they’ve all worked fine

keifun 08-20-2025 05:09 PM

WALMART has those green automated key cutting machines. It's around $5-6 per key. Buy 2 get 1 free and you get a $1 off coupon for next time.

whitev70r 08-20-2025 08:47 PM

Last time I had mine cut at Cdn Tire, auto kiosk/booth ... damn AI, perfect cut everytime, making the art of human key cutting obsolete.
