In case it helps anyone, I did a cost comparison of Canada Day protein sales

Costco Leanfit
Canadian Protein Bulk Isolate
Revolution Whey Iso Bulk
Revolution Whey Concentrate
Revolution Whey Concentrate Bulk
Isowhey
Isowhey
MyProtein
MyProtein Isolate

Yes its not the cleanest % of protein but price per protein gram the Leanfit Concentrate at Costco still the best deal.

Awesome, though is that one an isolate? Anything not isolate and I start blasting. Protein prices have shot up like crazy or am I crazy?

sonick 07-01-2025 03:37 PM

Costco leanfit is not isolate.

The ones that are 27g or higher per serving is isolate.

acrophobia 07-01-2025 03:43 PM

Costco Leanfit goes on sale for $14 off a few times a year.

My wife when I add 6 or 8 bags of sale protein to our cart... :rukidding:

Indeed it is. I used to get fun flavored Revolution Nutrition protein during bogo sales for 2 @ $65/each for 6 lbs containers...in the past 12 months I don't think they've offered anything less than 2 @ $80/each.

GLOW 07-02-2025 08:26 AM

i found leanfit doesn't mix with water well in my blender bottle and went back to the basic version of vega instead, which isn't perfect but blends better in my experience

This is the named list of product from the sheet in order:

Costco Leanfit
Canadian Protein Bulk Isolate
Revolution Whey Iso Bulk
Revolution Whey Concentrate

99 cent small Frosty @ Wendy's until Aug 17

MG1 07-02-2025 01:08 PM

A little too late, but if you go to Cavendish Farms website and search coupons, they have some $2.00 off coupons. This week, until end of today, bag of frozen Cavendish fries are $3.00 at Superstore. Price thing says price match, so some other store has it for that much, too.

I printed a couple of each and thought, no problem print some later. Nope, they keep track. One of them I printed out three copies. No issues. Anyhow a bag of frozen fries for a buck is pretty decent. According to their site, you can get more coupons in a month. Print and wait for some store to have them on sale again. I got onion ring variety.

One coupon per purchase. I had two varieties, so got a pair of bags.

At first, I thought you were trolling, but holy crap! I just Google Map'd and they offer Peking Duck? WTF?!?!?!

We'll have to go one day. Maybe after a BMW Trillium DE weekend.

6793026 07-10-2025 08:18 AM

they have peking duck markham in a buffet... and they had durian

@bcrdukes - Asian Dragon Buffet that's where I went.. they even had durian ice cream, oysters and lobsters (1 each) but still.. very legit.

Badhobz 07-10-2025 08:25 AM

id go for the name alone. ASIAN DRAGON BUFFET!?!?!!? thats awesome. add more stereotypes why dont you.

Just call it City Wok next time.

bcrdukes 07-10-2025 08:57 AM

Evidently, I have been missing out and not patronizing the stereotypical Asian restaurants in the GTA. Shame on me!

whitev70r 07-10-2025 09:04 AM

I remember Mandarin, old school in Scarborough. That's one thing in TO that we don't see a lot of here in YVR, Asian huge ass buffets. They are a dime a dozen in Toronto.

And you know how some YVR franchises make their way to TO like Big Way, I wish one would come this way ... Congee Queen/King ... that place is the bomb.

And back in the 90's, I loved Movenpick Marche ... but I think it's gone under.

Sadly, it is. :(

Movenpick Marche that closed in Toronto is now having a massive liquidation sale
