Having a blue moon right now, and i must say that it tastes better than rickards white. So smooth :concentrate:

Wetordry 06-23-2012 10:03 PM

Haha, that's what I have heard too, but I don't recall rickards white tasting this good. Guess i'll have to buy some white and do a taste challenge :concentrate:

Been in Europe the past two weeks, mostly in Italy. Peroni = :sweetjesus:

I am going to miss them.

mako 06-25-2012 08:55 AM

You can get Peroni here

iam_dan 06-25-2012 10:52 AM

Gave Carlsberg a try last week, very delicious.
Brahma beer is pretty good too

Tapioca 06-25-2012 09:22 PM

A couple of IPAs I would recommend:

- Lagunitas Maximus IPA (though, their regular IPA is quite good.)
- Fat Tug IPA

subordinate 06-25-2012 11:06 PM

Hef

And

Shaftsbury Cream Ale (The red can)

And

Guinness (not the crap in the can), I want the good stuff from a tap. I swear, the taste is insanely on two ends of a spectrum.

Canned/bottled Guinness has a number of additives not used when it's kegged, it definitely makes a significant difference in flavour. Fun fact, Guinness is not vegan/vegetarian friendly when canned/bottled, but it is when kegged (I know this matters to no one on rs but me :)).

Um, just bought it from BCLS, and it's only 4.5%?

cdizzle_996 07-16-2012 05:46 PM

Kronenbourg Blanc, favorite spring/summer beer for sure

Party beer - Old Mill

Sit back and relax beer - Bud Light

Presto 07-18-2012 02:47 PM

The BCLS in Langley has started carrying more single tallboys. There's around a dozen different ones. Domestic and Imports. There's a few for under $2, but most are under $2.50. Grolsh tallboys have been on sale for 2.10, recently. I like Grolsh!

blue_noise 07-18-2012 04:24 PM

Sorry, I guess my post was misleading. Did you buy the Granville Island Brewery bottled ones?

I had what was on tap at Steamworks brewery, and it was 9% so they only served a half pint at a time.

racerman88 07-20-2012 09:07 PM

Granville island Lions winter ale is really good

I ain't an expert but I do enjoy my beers. Bud, corona and all those shit beer were great when I was a kid but now, I really do appreciate the good old IPA. TONS of flavor and I don't mind it at all. I also enjoy the Wheat ales.

Sorry, stella and becks and all those other beers.. i much rather grab a granville island anytime (I will never turn down Granville island Winter ale and my awesome gf got me Chocolate Granville Island limited edition) That was just pure awesomeness.

Then again Guiness is great once in a blue moon.

You should try the Philips Longboat Chocolate porter if you liked the Granville island version.
