Howe Sound King Heffy imperial hefeweizen is very good. Packs a punch at 7.7% but still very drinkable. |

my new summer beer. too bad it only comes in 6 packs. |
I've had Tin Whistle Peach Cream Ale and Old Yale D.O.Ale and Bridge Brewing Hopilano IPA over the past days. Tin Whistle - beautifully natural peachy aroma, heavily carbonated, and strong peach flavour/sweetness that overpowers any other flavours. Would I say I enjoyed it? Yes. It was something very different to drink on a very hot day. Would I buy it again? No. Would I recommend you buy it? Not unless you fucking love fruit beers. Out of a bomber. 6/10... because the peach flavour was well executed, even if its way unbalanced. Old Yale - classical brown ale, extremely well done. The coffee, butterscotch, and chocolate notes were very apparent, but not powerful, and exceptionally well balanced. Would I say I enjoyed it? Yes, my friends did too. Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I recommend you buy it? Yes, if you like brown ales, or just because D.O.A. is one of the greatest bands to ever come out of Vancouver. Out of a bomber. 8/10. Bridge - I had this six days ago, so my memory of it's faded a bit. It was a very good, subtle, balanced IPA. It was not hopped like Fat Tug or Amnesiac or Hoparazzi, thankfully. The big hop IPAs aren't for every occasion. Would I say I enjoyed it? Yes. Would I buy it again? I will. Would I recommend you buy it? Definitely. On draft at St. Augustine's. 8.75/10. |

10 Types of Beer Glasses to Complement Your Beer Quote:
http://brewtrendz.zippykidcdn.com/wp...rium-Glass.gif |
I got a variety of beer glasses in a boxed set as a gift from the groom as I was in a recent wedding party. Never really thought about how the shape could effect how a beer tastes until I read the box. It tells you which glass is best for certain types of beer. I thought it was a great gift.. |
My gf surprised me with an assorted beer glass set as well, very cool. I too like the tulip glass/snifter. |
Currently drinking.. Hop Therapy Double IPA, coming in at 100 IBU and 9%. Tastes like neither, I've had Imperial IPA's and other DIPA's that are much more potent and full ...maybe I'll let this warm up a bit. Went to a beershare last month. So awesome. This was a few hours into it. https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2832/...b241e3c5_c.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5333/...4f7ff91b_c.jpg As an aside, recent beers I've been drinking.. https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2824/...ffc7d9b1_c.jpg All time favourite.. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7380/...544e22d9_c.jpg Picked up from TotalWine in Bellevue, WA https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5516/...7493b1ff_c.jpg |
^ yummm... very nice. My current go-to is Hoperation Tripel Cross. Great value and taste; $4.95 for a bomber at 7.1%. Nice fruity Belgian, not too heavy IPA. The beer label sticker canvas is awesome; how do you peel it off the bottle? |
Quote:
As for the canvas, she said she would soak the bottles in hot water, and most of the labels come off. Elysian ones are very easy to peel off. A little boxcutter helps to scrape as well. The new Phillips one are NOT, they're paper based and will disintegrate. |
love all the elysian stuff |

1 Attachment(s) I went to the local beer store to buy a can of beer, but ended walking out with a case (12) of Sleeman's Lager. They're giving a 32oz stein with purchase. It has thick walls, and weighs 3 pounds. |
:lol My local beer store recently had a promotion that offered 32oz Molson Canadian boot mugs. I somewhat shamefully admit, I stood and pondered purchasing 12 Canadians for several minutes merely to have that ridiculous mug. Maturity prevailed, and I left with a several bottles of Fat Tug. |

Das Boots were awesome up at a recent cabin trip.. :drunk: We weren't drinking Molson out of them though.. lol |
Quote:
I suspect the Langley Signature store would have them, too. I looked on Amazon (briefly) and to buy a Das Boot outright costs roughly the same as buying a case of Molson with a Das Boot. Hmmm... |
no boot or stein at Richmond ackyroyd government liquor store :( Did pick up a Fat Tug though, hadn't had it in awhile, and I must say, damn it is good. Posted via RS Mobile |
I've got two of those boot mugs. But they made us buy a 24 pack in order to get one :lol This is still my favourite brew: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2749/...b8fdea8830.jpg |
^ well worth the price  |
I really want to try LHB Milk Stout Nitro. Is it still not available in Canada? |

Molson Canadian is literally undrinkable. I reluctantly opened one today (friend was given six as a tip), took a sip, awful, and stubbornly took another sip, but it was as bloody awful as the last one. At that point, I gave it away. I drink Cariboo regularly, and I'll drink a Budweiser, Kokanee, or Coors enjoyably, but Canadian is a step too far. |
