What is it everyone sees in Beer that is so good? This I will never understand. I never liked bear ever since the first sip I had. Now that I think about it, I hate most alcoholic drinks...

That's good, saves you a ton of money in the long run and probably healthier too.

Too bad for the rest of us :hotbaby:

Rolling Rock is a nice light beer that goes down like water.
Pick up a case every time I go down to Point Roberts. $11 for a 12 pack! :lawl:

New to the area, does anyone know where I can get some import beer (Germany)? Specifically looking for dunkel, and bonus points if it's Franziskaner or Weihenstaphaner.

Have been looking everywhere but to no avail :(

Spent too much on car parts in the past few weeks.

Drinking Hell's Gate until my money tree recovers. For the "cheap beer" price (8 or 9 dollars for a 6pack), it's not bad :notbad:

I was quite impressed with Catcus Club's Blonde Ale. It's very smooth, and has a great taste and finish. I'd like to find an equivalent ale at the beer store!

Yeah, it's not bad. I drink it for 3 reasons:

1. Only dunkel I've found in Vancouver so far
b. Pretty affordable for a German import
iii.

Finally got to try ginja ninja
Personally wasn't my favorite :( but I think it's because I don't really like ginger beer in general

it's a side effect of having functioning testicles i guess

btw anyone have r&b bohemian lager? fucking awesome, too bad it only comes on tap, so you pretty much need to go to a bar/resto to drink it

Bought a bunch of these a couple weeks ago. They don't taste good straight out of the can. Much better when poured into a chalice with some head.

I generally don't enjoy any gimmicky wheat beers infused with any sort of fruit or plant. The ginger taste in Ginga Ninja was too weak! I really could not taste it when paired with a meal. The "sneaky" ginger taste only comes through when drank alone.

But, if you want real "ginger beer" made of ginger, go for Crabbies. I always have a bunch of them in the fridge. Strong ginger taste. Tastes sort of like a pop.

MeowMeow 07-12-2013 12:53 PM

^had crabbies before I tried ginja ninja. Maybe that's why I didn't really like the latter.
Crabbies were too sweet for me. But deff like it better than ginja ninja

bcrdukes 07-12-2013 02:00 PM

You have to be careful with these gimmicky beers. They're meant to be consumed as-is. if you try to pair it with anything else (food and/or another beer back to back) your palate is already ruined and it just goes down from there. If you want to try another beer or to have food, ask for some limes or lemons, suck on it to cleanse the palate and then try your next beer.

(I'm over complicating this but this is to prevent you from ruining your beer experiences.)
