How long do you figure before it happens?

Lu said he's been working with Francois Allaire the last six weeks (was the Leafs goalie coach). Said he doesn't know what to expect or if it will happen fast or not.

Bob McKenzie said the Leafs could make a trade within the next 2-3 days.

Luongo and Cory have a good relationship
so if Luongo can FINISH camp as a Canuck, which is what I hope, the year looks good for another 1a-1b goalie situation

its just a media distraction as long as these guys perform

Can't see the Canucks holding onto Lu, it just doesn't seem realistic at this point. We need a replacement for Kesler as he's out for who knows how long, and Schroeder is unproven (though he will be given a shot).

Teams don't have time to go on coldstreaks or wait for players to return from injury to turn on the jets this year, there's just not enough games.

We've got bigger issues than goaltending, getting another one of those "top 6" forwards to replace Kes short term isn't a feasible solution

So what if Lack's groin injury is serious?

If we don't sign/trade for a back up, we go into the season with Schneider and Climie. If Schneider goes down, our tandem will consist of Climie and Cannata, which is a decent AHL tandem.

I was all for a Luongo trade, but not when we have a short season like this.

Yeah I was hoping to find a nice easy to read overview of the lockout, and why it took so fucking long to agree. But I can't go looking through any sports pages because I need to avoid NFL spoilers...

theres no immediate trade because he cant be traded until a new cba is voted on, signed and finalized by both sides. so tue/wed is probably the earliest. even then im not too sure about this season. it could basically be play off hockey all season and with the canucks already missing kesler and the other holes the canucks have.. to top it off with the new draft rules, the ability to get a 1st round pick for luongo, sedins getting older and a hell of a nice draft coming up..
