So I reserved my phone and it still says I'm #167 on the list, while my co-workers just waltzed into Rogers this afternoon and asked if there was any extras, she got a iPhone 5 right away for $179, also she purchased a $79 2 year warranty, but the kicker is that she gets a $100 mail-in rebate so basically she got her phone for $150?... meanwhile I'm still waiting for mine ... wtfmate?

she got a 2 yr warranty for $79? i heard they were selling their 2 yr warranties for $99 to match apple care, ($149.99 + $50 credit in 1 month)

ive heard stores were doing that, but not $79 + $100 credit.

Fucker at Oakridge store wouldn't let me buy the phone for $699 minus $230 fido dollars. He told me that I have to get it from Fido Corporate stores.

Can anyone confirm? Isn't the system the same? Or he just don't want to do it because he doesn't get the comission?

I waited 7 hours... and came out only with one phone. Gf needs one too. This was negotiated and noted and applied in front of the Apple tech. But he was a bitch.

I am looking to get warranty. Is it $99 for 2 years factory extended + two incidents (dropped or cracked screen) with $50 deductible?

Does fido offer warranty?

so this is a bunch of shit then! since i bought my phone online from the apple store its unlocked yet its scratched on arrival...so now i have to make an appointment to get it switched in the apple store to phones which are locked to the carriers in store well fucking bawlls....

have any of you guys noticed any hard ware issues such as mine like scratches or dings on your iPhones? theres a few youtube videos up of people shaking there iphones and hearing a rattle inside them...plus seems to be another anttenagate issue again with bars dropping of some sort..

No no they receive unlocked ones but if you wish to PURCHASE one form the store they have to lock it to your carrier.

^^oh ok never mind then haha thanks for the info bra! So fucking choked to see mine with a scratch on top and its fairly noticeable as well. I went into the coquitlam store and the Manager lady was fairly nice about the whole situation saying just book a genius appointment and we will switch it out for you...she also said why bother calling 1-800-my-apple since she was like all they will do is tell you to send your iphone to them and then they will send you another one. Still choked to see a brand new fucking product having defect upon arrival tho..

Actually yeah, on both mine and the gf's.

Theres small nicks on the metal. 1 on mine and 2 on hers. hers are about 0.2x0.5mm and mines 0.1x1mm

I already booked a genius appt for mine tomorrow. The camera lens is loose. Like when I poke it, it pushes in. I'm pretty sure thats abnormal :badpokerface:

the minor surface scratches... itll be hard to get a perfect one really.

it just sucks because i'll have to go home and sync it again.

Wow scratched phones on arrival. My gf warned me about the first batch of phones whenever new ones come out and I guess so far it's kinda true, but usually its hardware issues. I didn't know it could go as far as knicks and scratches :fuckthatshit:

^good to see there's already big progress in jailbreaking. I miss my jailbreak tweaks. I keep swiping up from the bottom of the screen thinking its gonna bring up the multitasking tray :okay:

i jailbroke for a while, then realized that was against every reason why i liked iphone. simple works for me.

although, I need to unlock my 3GS for US use, and its not looking pretty. 5.16.05 baseband.
