Just tried to return my unlocked ones at the Apple store and the guy I dealt with said unlicked ones can only be shipped back and that the stores won't take them. Weird because i called the hotline earlier to confirm if I could do it in store and was told I could. What a pain..

iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 Drop Test - YouTube

When I watched this I was pretty shocked. The iphone did surprisingly well and the S3 kinda sucked. I think its because of the super thin bezel on the S3

willystyle 09-23-2012 01:13 PM

That's an uncontrolled drop test performed in an uncontrolled environment at different angles of impact.

I just got off the hotline, they said to call them to request a shipping label which they will send through email, print it out and return it in the same box. No shipping fees or restocking fees.

I requested them to send me my invoice via email because I purchased the phones through a guest account, resulting in the inability to print it out online. Still no sign of it. So right now I'm kind of hooped to sell them because everyone is requesting an invoice to be included in the sale. :okay:

Anybody having trouble with Monday on siri.

Ask siri what my plan is for Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Eric all works. Except for Monday. No matter how I rephrase my question siri refuse to recognize Monday as a day she should look up in my calendar.

That's always been the case when you buy anything from Apple online. To return anything, the local stores won't take it back and you have to send it back to Apple yourself. It's posted on their website somewhere. But some of you said you can return online orders in stores so maybe the Apple employee didn't know they are not supposed to take online returns in stores. But if you have a problem with the iPhone you bought online, you can exchange it for another one at the Apple store.

jing 09-23-2012 03:03 PM

Tried exchanging as well but they said no can do. This was at the Metro store btw. Spoke to 2 different employees who said the same thing.

murd0c 09-23-2012 03:03 PM

So this is the first iPhone I have ever had/used and I gotta say I have no clue why I haven't left the BB years ago. This thing is straight up cool at hell.

I don't think I could ever go back

Bell LTE issues? Reseted the network settings on Phone pulled out LTE nano sim still no LTE. This is in Fleetwood/Guildford Area no LTE but 3G works fine. Friends Rogers and Fido phones on LTE work in the same area.

Contemplating of getting IP5, so I reserved one online. I called Fido, since I still want to keep my current plan and the CR told me I am not due for an HUP not till earliest March 2014. Therefore, he told me I need to cancel my contract right now + the cost of the phone. He patched me through customer service and here is the breakdown:
Contract cancellation = $430, IP5= $179 total with taxes = $650ish.
Got some Fido dollars (but not much) and CSR waived the HUP fee of $25.

I was thinking, I might as well buy an unlocked one from apple which I don't mind waiting for.

Need some inputs and advice guys.:\ Thanks.

I did this; my buyout was only $250 + $70 for the ip5 after Fido dollars. Flipped the phone fro $750, made a cool $430 profit.

I'm officially impress with the diction feature in ios6 for Cantonese. Pick up all my slangs and swear words perfectly.

Not a bad profit. Unfortunately, my contract still have some years left hence the price Fido is charging to buyout and wishing I had bit more Fido dollars

DanHibiki 09-23-2012 03:34 PM

I got 1 year left maybe I should do this. Although I have a good contract I'd like I keep :(

I ask because I might buy a locked one for cheaper

And the phone must used for less than half an hour's talk time.

Dude must be moving them overseas for him to buy bulk from you. How much profit have you made total?

DanHibiki 09-23-2012 04:21 PM

3. woulda been 5 but my cousin had 2 purchased with a Japanese cc so he's afraid of the exchange rate right now. Won't know how much exactly until his gf in Japan gets off work.
