Quick question, I just picked up my phone from a wireless store, they gave me the phone unopened but I got it under my Fido account so is it unlocked or still locked to Fido?

It'll be locked to whichever carrier's SIM card you put in the first time when you activate your phone.

Why is everyone flaming the Maps app?

Only difference I see is a nicer look, built-in route by route GPS, and a lack of transit routing.

Hmm.. I've used it twice so far, and it seems to be quite accurate. Maybe it will be fixed in the next patch.

You guys can still access Google Maps via Safari. Works fine.

The resellers market is never a fail on launch day
The hoarders bought most of the unlock phones so you have late buyers willing to pay extra
but most are being bought and sent back to china and sold for double the price

The new Samsung commercial taking over YouTube is pretty funny but honestly I don't really care, as a super casual user. All I can say is that Samsung was late to the game and even if they are slightly better; I'm just too lazy to have to re-learn everything when I already have everything from my iPhone 3Gs setup and synced. It's much easier to just plugin the iPhone 5 and simply have everything like my contacts and settings ready to go instead of manually inputting everything if I was to switch over from Apple to Galaxy. :pokerface:

if ur contacts are backed up on your gmail account or something then u don't need to manually input them all
