many indian coworkers I have worked with (9 out 10), slow, lazy, chitchat with their own a lot (doing it on purpose or you can say it's part of their "culture"), they would take much longer to get their stuff done, just not being productive to the team, everyone else knew about it and would just roll their eyes, blatantly use their phones a lot during working hours either scrolling or talking on the phone. I have had pleasure working with many other ethnicities (pinoy, chinese, white), most are fairly productive. Most indians I worked with were so lazy, just dragged their ass all day.

going back to my first point, I commute daily from surrey to richmond using alex fraser and hwy 91, 99% of bad drivers I encounter are indians, left lane hoggers doing 80km/h, and reckless drivers doing 40 over the posted speed limit, tailgaters, blatant cut-offs, they are worse drivers than richmond chinese drivers.

That's cause my bucket list is almost done, lol. After this just need to visit the Himalayas, South Africa, Morocco, Patagonia and Antarctica. Then I'll probably just chill with Euro destinations in my old age.

I haven't been yet but it's supposedly super cheap. Flying there on points via Beijing and once we get to Uzbekistan we have 4-star quality hotels for $100-$150 a night. If it was just me I'd probably stay in some 2-star place for like $25/night.

It's not a super popular place for people our age and nationality to visit (it's fucking far, for one) but it's getting quite touristy and very popular with the European white hair crowd.

That's cause most of them in the US are in professional positions in Tech, Medicine, Academia, etc. And a lot hail from the South part of India which is more developed/less parochial than the north part of India where Canada gets their immigrants from. I've done my fair share of traveling too (highly recommend kruger national park safari in south africa) and once I hit my bucket list I'll mellow out as well and stick with asia and western europe or anywhere that can be achieved with a non-stop flight out of YVR.

One of my best friends is from Southern India, went to school for accounting in New Jersey. He'd show me pictures back in Jersey with him surrounded by blonde bimbos, banging white chicks, having a great time.

He eventually moved here to Vancouver over decade ago, and the culture change for him was stark. Suddenly white women wanted nothing to do with him, and the amount of racism thrown his way was jarringly different. He thinks most people in the US just thought he was Hispanic or something, and there wasn't a stigma of Indians anyways, as you said, most work in tech and are educated/wealthy, must different than the diaspora here in Canada.

It took him years to adjust to the regression of his status here in Canada vs the US, and funnily enough, he's now joined in our hate of the recent influx of the trash types from the country in question.

My 2 cents:

Canada fucked itself when...

1) Natural resources took a dump: Fracking fucked gas prices and then it took 5000 years to build LNG - we missed the boat for european exports and got GG'd by Americans again.

The politics around this one could've been different, blame LNG and pipelines on Trudeau.

2) Without resources, we went all in housing. Housing is used to reduce tax burden in the states, not a primary investment because money is slow - it takes FOUR years to turn once. Going all in on this shit means our money is unproductive and economy is fucked. Adding immigration was the only shot we had to keep the services and trades economy alive.

This one... you can't blame the politicians. People are gonna get really frustratred with the Libs but imo there's nothing they could've done.

3) Liberals were late to adding nuclear, port expansions, and mining. Carney finally did it, seems to have everyone happy, even Alberta.

Blame Trudeau on this one, should've been done years ago but the hippie cabinet was concerned about the environment lmao.
