Anyone looking for a Black 16gb Nexus 4, look in the B&S section.. haha mines going up for sale Tues... :)

If anyone is looking for a cheap wireless charger, this is perfect:

QI Wireless Charger + USB Cable Black - Tmart.com

It will take a few weeks to arrive but its only $19 including shipping. You need to use your own power adapter with it though. It has a little red LED to indicate that power is on, and a little green LED to indicate that your phone is charging.

(Works with all Qi certified devices, not just for Nexus 4)

How do you find the charger? I've read that the Qi chargers are a bit finnicky with placement - if you're off by even a little bit, it either doesn't charge as well or doesn't charge at all.

The new Nexus 5 wireless chargers apparently have magnets in them so it'll pull the device into the correct position.

It is true that if you are off by a little, it does charge slower. But after a day of playing around with placement, I've found the "right" way to place my phone on the pad to get the fastest charging time.

Now I leave my phone on there overnight and its 100% when I wake up in the morning.

For those N4 users who haven't migrated to the N5 yet. Android 4.4 is here:

[ROM] Stock 4.4 Kitkat KRT16O Factory Image - xda-developers

This will wipe your internal storage if you follow the instructions to flash it with fastboot.

Or you can just wait for OTA.

SkinnyPupp 11-14-2013 02:02 PM

Cool I was hoping to put stock 4.4 on it before giving it to my wife when my N5 arrives :D

.supreme. 11-14-2013 07:40 PM

Anyone have a spare case/ bumper they are selling?

shenmecar 11-16-2013 11:21 PM

Currently running Purity, very stable. Mods are slowly coming back too!

Graeme S 11-18-2013 11:57 PM

Anyone else made the move to KitKat? I'm thinking about just returning to a stock build; custom roms and their bugginess and need to constantly update is becoming more trouble than it's worth. Especially since my phone froze and I ended up late to work a couple weeks ago.

Sigh.

SkinnyPupp 11-19-2013 12:38 AM

Purity with 4.3 wasn't buggy at all for me. Haven't tried their 4.4 yet though.

Since it's going to my wife and she won't care about tweaks and ultimate performance, she's getting stock though when my N5 arrives :fuckthatshit:

Graeme S 11-19-2013 02:57 AM

For those interested in getting the official 4.4 build before the KitKat OTA gets distributed: https://developers.google.com/androi...es#occamkrt16o

I just flashed my N4 to KRT16O and few days later Google releases an updated factory image. fuuuuu..
Now to wait for someone on XDA to upload the OTA update.

bobola 11-19-2013 07:25 PM

now to wait for PA !!

SuperAman 11-22-2013 03:27 PM

finally got the push update from google today

way2quik 11-23-2013 04:33 PM

Anyone on 4.4 have the VM bug?
I'm on Mobi and it is apparent the bug is not a Nexus 5 only.

Question for those in the know:

I had some ringtones and notification sounds from a couple different soundboard apps I downloaded a while back. Seems like when I updated to 4.4, they're not working. In fact, when I select the sound from the list, or any sound other than stock, I get a "ding" noise.

Any idea why these don't work now?

Also, I've never had this problem before, but now when I go into settings to choose a sound, ALL of my music comes up as an option for a notification sound. And I have hundreds of songs, so I can't find the ringtones in the huge list.

Is there any way of separating my music from the ringtones list?

Just a note for people who upgraded to 4.4 and non rooted.
Tethering is blocked on tmobile (or when you go down in the US and use roam mobility, roam mobility supposedly allows tether). Just went down to US this weekend and couldn't figure out what was wrong until I searched it up and found it was a known issue.

Nexus 5 tethering block? - xda-developers

Hey I'm running Purity 4.3 as well. How do you get your screen/icons to look like that?

How's battery life compared to the Galaxy Nexus? I've hear that battery life isn't great on the Nexus 4, but I hope it's better than the Galaxy Nexus because I might be upgrading from a Galaxy Nexus in a couple of days.
