Just shattered my screen yesterday LOL. Looking to buy a N4, for those who have the 8GB model, is it enough memory? Kinda sucks that theres no SD cards, which I'm used to.

kevin7352 09-03-2013 08:26 AM

8GB should be enough, especially if you save your photos onto dropbox and delete them off your phone from time to time. also if you don't hoard movies, music, apps

kevin7352 09-03-2013 10:12 AM

i've been pretty curious as to whether or not the reception is really that bad here. in fall 2012 they put up a new mobilicity tower at burnaby and they have their own booth always promoting their service here.

Gucci Mane 09-03-2013 11:27 AM

mobilicity is complete garbage. why anyone is still with them is beyond me. wind is alright though, they started off kind of shitty but have gotten better. i had to pawn off my wind plan to my mom because i like to travel out to the okanagan and obviously wind doesnt work out there.

kevin7352 09-03-2013 12:01 PM

ya i was thinking of doing wind

twixxer 09-03-2013 01:02 PM

^
When i was up at SFU couple weeks back my Wind phone had zero service. Keep in mind i wasn't on campus i was at my buddies condo near by. Not sure if service is any better on campus.

yuusha 09-03-2013 01:36 PM

^I have friends on Wind and Mobi, don't bother you're better off on anyone else if you're up there for school.

Apple devs leaves devices at bars while Google devs use it to take pictures of their mascot

FerrariEnzo 09-03-2013 05:59 PM

!Nhan 09-03-2013 06:19 PM

twitchyzero 09-03-2013 07:40 PM

This marketing is Genius

anyways... how many of you actually run LTE fulltime on your device?
Just curious because I know location services(ie GoogleNow) doesn't work

however, with some of the recent hybrid radios, it may not lock, but it still works? not sure if this is true.

This would go into the Nexus 5 thread tho... unless your talking about the phone the girl was holding, which in fact is the N4...

27/84 Radio on CM10.2
The thing is that location based services(ie Google Now) works.

The one thing why I haven't taken advantage of the LTE all this time.
Now to do a stress test on the battery with the default CM kernel.

Hmm any reason why I'm not able to tether while on LTE? 3G works and I think I have the right APN's

hmmm you're right, it just keeps on trying to connect on my browser

*edit* http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2416822

give it a shot? I prefer to use 27/84 as I find 33 to have more data drops.

kevin7352 09-05-2013 10:12 PM

*edit* [4.3][08/27][v1.1] Nexus 4 LTE and LTE tethering/hotspot fix - xda-developers

give it a shot? I prefer to use 27/84 as I find 33 to have more data drops.

Are you guys on 4.3?
Not sure if this affects all 4.3 devices, but I've been having the same problem on my Google Edition HTC One. This only started happening after updating to 4.3.

My Nexus 7 will connect to my hotspot, but no internet.
Upon some research, I found out there seems to be a issue with IPtable in 4.3 for GE HTC One (again..i'm not sure if this affects all 4.3 devices):
