I just setup my alienware, I haven't fine tuned the OC or anything but so far it's been running for 20mins and it's sitting at 50° and 99.1mh/s prolly need to run it for a lot longer to tell for sure tho Edit: damn it stayed at 98/99 for a good while, but now it's dropped to 96 :/ was hoping I got it right the first try lol |

If there is no crashing or up/down on the hashrate. You are good to go. |
I got it up to 98mh steady, had to turn the fans to 100% the case fans on the alienware suck and are annoying af to try and adjust, but I guess I'm happy with it atm |

Q regarding the btc/24hr number, mines dropped from like 0.00024 to 0.00018 yet my hashrate has stayed at 98.5+/- Why's that happen :/ |
Number of accepted shares fluctuates over time. Better to get an average over a week and then compare. Sometimes your rate will go higher and sometimes lower. |
Ahhh I thought so I watched my miner and noticed my accepted shares weren't as frequent today, I see Thanks Razor |
So using the new hwinfo I was able to see my memory temps, and these are my settings running for a day n a half? steady now Alienware 3080 - 98.5mh+/- : mem +1300, - 300 core, 70% power, fan 100%, gpu temp 38-40°c, memory temp 98°c I ordered a thermal pad but I wonder if it's necessary, I was going to order those mini heatsinks too as I saw someone shaved 6-7°c from his card with em, might come in handy during the summer when ambient temps are high, even with the AC running |
Try with the side panel off. Maybe add an extra fan. |

has anyone withdrawn money from coinbase?I have my paypal wallet connected there for withdrawals only, but never tried it |
Yah I withdrew my smallish cash investment when I sold at the $52k height, it was immediate... then it was free to withdraw to a Canadian bank account, takes a couple days to transfer |

I've noticed this problem twice now At first I thought I was mistaken, but now I'm certain I'm using nicehash, and this is the second time, where my mining of eth just stops and I start mining octopus, a different miner is loaded entirely (b miner?) Like wtf.. I only notice because I'm checking my dashboard constantly until I get comfortable with this, and I'll see profitability and mh dropped to like half of normal, I'll check my rig and it's mining something else entirely, I restart nicehash and everything is normal again |

Make sure your windows defender or anti virus to exclude nicehash folder. https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/h...nder-exclusion |

@70% the miner says the gpu is using 220w I just tried the opposite and raised the power to 75% (239w ish) and I've been getting a steady 100.2MH will see how long that lasts though I read as long as the memory stays below 100°C then it's good? But will see This alienwares like my test/learning rig for mining, its been pretty cool to play around with Thanks to all you guys for the help ^^ Quote:

I posted this in the stocks thread since we are beginning to see the establishment regulate the retail investor in financial markets. Crypto will likely be one of the next battlegrounds (if it isn't one already). For those that believe Crypto will remain decentralized, the elite is coming for all of us, one group at a time. https://www.bis.org/speeches/sp210127.pdf "Let me conclude. Sound money is central to our market economy, and it is central banks that are uniquely placed to provide this. If digital currencies are needed, central banks should be the ones to issue them" |
If they thought retail traders were a tough battle they're in for a shock when they go after crypto KEKW If they do, and fail, maybe we'll see that paradigm shift we've been waiting for? Either that or the feds bail them out again and start all over |
a couple of my mining rigs, fairly conservative OCs. i have a few other 3080s not on hiveos https://i.imgur.com/Oiul80E.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Xs43iqh.jpg |
Wow those 5700xt's are beasts! I should've tried buying those instead! As for regulation, it's coming, without a doubt. If they don't regulate then govts like the us will make them illegal, maybe even designate them as a tool of terrorism, and crypto value will plummet, its inevitable Just like the reddit wallstreet guys, they'll get crushed if they become a bigger problem than they are, heck you already see attempts at controlling them happening |
Any insight why mining stocks like $BITF is still dipping even though BT prices remain an upward trend? |
