16x 3080
3x 1070

With this kinda payout, they will be paid off themselves in 3 month.

SkinnyPupp 02-03-2021 07:21 PM

That's insane that your bill is only $500 running like 3800 (!) watts per hour.. WutFace

3080s each of them are running 220-235w
1070s are running 120w

They use almost same power when i had 30x 1070 few years ago.

Ha so my estimate was right on!

Crazy that's only $500 a month. Go make that money!

If you're selling for fiat to pay the bills, don't forget to pull extra since you have to pay tax on that

I've got another 3080 but no MB to stick it in

So I tried sticking it into my micro atx case but it can't fit unless I cut the case :lol wanting to get everything mining on this surge

Guess I can always take the MB out of the case but ugh

Forget the case and just mount it in a piece of wood or something.

StylinRed 02-04-2021 03:54 PM

Yeah I'm setting it up on a Costco cardboard box atm, but forgot I need to figure out how to turn it on, so I took off my case's power controller and just hooked it to the b250 mining motherboard, gonna see if it powers up in a sec

Razor Ramon HG 02-04-2021 04:10 PM

You can just take a flathead screw driver to the front panel pins marked for power.

This is what i bought for all my miners

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07DFJ75R5/...ing=UTF8&psc=1

I have also set up all miners to have WOL, just in case, system crash or shut off. So that i can remotely power down / up

Manic! 02-04-2021 07:39 PM

This looks bad.

I've got the b250 mb from Asus, for those with similar, do you need the molexs plugged into the board?

While I'm waiting for my risers, I wanted to just plug one card in to start mining, but the molex prevents it from plugging into the board

Once you got riser in hand, make sure you don't use those SATA power. It will have high risk of burning down your HOUSE.
Use VGA 8 pin to 2-6pin for riser. This is very important for your safety

This is what i have to power my risers

And to your B250 answers is in user manual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
