I believe it's in the village, not the mall itself.

For all you buger lovers out there you have to check out this series on youtube called "Burger Lab". It's hosted by top chef winner Richard Blaze for anyone that follows Top Chef.

Here's one of my favs

^ Damn, that looks fuckin tasty.

HonestTea 03-18-2013 04:34 PM

Splitz Burger was fucking AWESOME when I tried it! Tried the Main Street location and have no complaints, except the fries could've been crispier lol

I'm surprised no one has mentioned 50's style dinners like Bobby Sox.

If you ever head out that far to have a burger, go try their Hero burger. You will NOT be disappointed.

I miss the Rambo burger from Rodeo Drive In... before they changed ownership anyway, mmmm that was a tasty burger!

the park royal location will be closed until the construction outside the mall where it used to be is complete. not sure of the timetable as of yet. im thinking sometime in the summer it will be open, not too sure on it though.

Anyone try that 50's style burger joint heading into New West in Burnaby?

78% on Urbanspoon. Not too bad.

Edit: I just realized this was in Hot Rod the movie. :lawl:

Tried the burger at Oakwood yesterday (friend ordered it) pretty tasty, crunchy bun. Don't know if the patty would taste differently as the friend ordered well-done. Quite pricey though, $15 for just the burger, doesn't come with fries.

Tried Vera's yesterday for the first time (Cloverhole location) and thought it was pretty good. Burger wasn't dry at all, in fact quite the opposite, little pink and juicy as hell. 8.5/10

bcrdukes 03-23-2013 01:01 PM

I find that the quality of Vera's burgers overall is location dependent. Having said that, I have yet to be satisfied with their burgers.

Went to Romer's yaletown. Dissapointed, sort of way overpriced and the burgers don't come with fries, you have pay an addition 4-8$, depending on what kind of fries to get. Considering potatoes cost virtually nothing, that rubbed me the wrong way..

Culverin 03-24-2013 09:55 AM

Anybody know where I could get a brioche bun for burgers like Romer's?
I really can't see me bothering to make my own.

kcl38 03-24-2013 10:02 AM

Went to Rogue on Friday night for a friend's birthday, everyone else was just drinking and eating appys but I got the burger since I was starving. I was really impressed with it! So +1 for Rogue

What a shame - oakwood is one of the few places in Vancouver that does a burger right and your friend ruined it by getting it well done.

LiquidTurbo 03-24-2013 08:39 PM

Went to Splitz today, decent fries, messy burger. Pretty good.

bcrdukes 03-24-2013 09:00 PM

Which burger did you have?

LiquidTurbo 03-24-2013 09:34 PM

The Double. Kind of threw me off guard that you actually have to design the burger yourself based on toppings.

The double is too large to eat, dunno how anyone would eat a triple other than with a fork and knife...
