Mike Oxbig 11-11-2013 03:05 PM

cdizzle_996 11-11-2013 03:22 PM

Tavares and Duchene should make it no matter what...

Hall and Eberle.. thats laughable.

highfive 11-11-2013 03:22 PM

Tavares should be a lock for team Canada IMO.

strong user title shawn

surprised the TSN panel decided not to go full retard and include Kunitz again

we have depth at centre, US has juicy depth at wings

So in a short tournament where chemistry is key at times..you don't want a very fucking good one two punch in Crosby and Kunitz?

So no, I don't think TSN panel went full retard. Tell me you can't have a prolific scoring threat with a top line of Kunitz Crosby and have Stamkos on the wing?

Mike Oxbig 11-11-2013 03:41 PM

^ not sure if they went full retarded when they brought up hamhuis a team canada defensemen but...

Choices for Canada's defence is pretty much set with

Doughty Weber
Seabrook Keith
Subban Pietrangelo

Letang, Vlasic, Hamhuis, Phanuef/Bieksa as a spare

Not really racist! 11-11-2013 03:47 PM

you ice the best team you can

Kunitz on the first line doesn't give u the best team

Stamkos, Crosby, MSL is the best combo. (obv out the window now tho)

Kunitz deserves some consideration, but at best an extra

kwy 11-11-2013 03:54 PM

bieksa on team canada...lmfao..sounds like a solid idea

Both points are fully valid and I'm sure stevie y will be taking into consideration. You don't have a ton of games to develop chemistry, but if you ice the best team possible Team Canada would be full of centers, so its about finding that balance.

FWIW there aren't many/any players that Crosby can't elevate and make better than they actually are. I think Giroux's in that same category, but he's had a rough start so far this year.

Hondaracer 11-11-2013 05:31 PM

i think if it warrents it you take a C and move them to wing if youre bringing the better player

NHL

If we didnt lose larionov during 93-94 would we have won the cup? How did we ever lose him on a NHL waiver draft...

Tim Budong 11-12-2013 10:16 AM

Booth back with the big club, Archibald sent down

Mike Oxbig 11-12-2013 10:33 AM

Maybe Booth will be the Clowe (no goals) of last year where we have multiple suitors and can get a 2nd round pick for him at the trade deadline.

and flip that pick for Cammalleri

No, don't send Archie down! :ahwow:

I want him to stay... he's been doing great!

GrapeDrink 11-12-2013 11:48 AM

^yeah Clowe and Booth are not even remotely close comparables, up until last year, clowe was a Gm's wet dream a top 6 forward who could fight and was relatively healthy through out his career. Obviously now it looks terribad since concussions have essentially ended his career. But Booth is not remotely any of that on any Gm's radar.

Not even close, you fucking dumbass.

Booth is more like Iginla; therefore, we can probably flip him at the trade deadline for 2 prospects and a first round draft pick.
