He's been the best Canuck this year. Even amid trade rumours and this alleged request, he's been playing balls to the wall. MG had every right to ask for the absolute highest-quality deal for someone like Kesler. It's not like he's going to sulk and sandbag while being here. |
i hope you guys figured out by now that the owners are in for the money only. when he says he wants the bring the cup to Vancouver, he really means he wants 4 rounds of playoff revenue without forking out more salary. What really attracted the owners to buy the team was for the land (read this somewhere online a few years back). That has now become 3 condo/office towers which will allow the owners to profit (pay for their purchase) and then generate a steady revenue stream (from the arena, team, and office building) are you guys ready for the toronto maple laughs of the west? i am. |
^ Tell that to people who's crying over aquaman nixing the trade and boycotting the team. :fuckthatshit: |

Exposing workers to abestos, crummy vehicles on their blueberry farms, interesting stuff. |
Halak to WSH |
halak to caps...nice |

Aquaman runs an Italian sweatshop based on the way he treats his foreign workers. This team needs a baller owner who has a passion for hockey and wants Canucks fans to see this team win a championship. A Mark Cuban of the NHL! |

@NYP_Brooksie: Dysfunction in Van with ownership first all but directing hire of coach (Tortorella) and then asserting power in Kesler trade talks. Yup Posted via RS Mobile |
Thing is, how do these guys know that's the case? Posted via RS Mobile |
Now we know Aquilini is calling the shots and dictating what can be done and what can't. MG is simply a puppet and can't do what's best for the team due to greedy owners Posted via RS Mobile |
Penguins beat writer reporting that the Pens front office got the sense that Canucks owners were getting in the way. So there seems to be some truth to this as I'd think the Pens writer would have connections to the Pens front office and what they were hearing Quote:

this is the same Larry Brooks that has been shit on by Torts in interviews :lawl: Seems like he's just trying to get under Torts' skin with that comment Posted via RS Mobile |
Joe Haggerty @HackswithHaggs 54s Pretty apparent Tim Thomas wasnt going to co-exist w/Roberto Luongo when he was going postal on the phone at Garden prior to last night's gm found this on hfboards. |
Owners should just cut cheques and sit back and reap the profits coming in. That, or just fire the GM if you're going to be making those calls yourself anyways. |

Or Ed Snyder. Or Jerry Jones (though he's actually the GM of the Cowboys, right? Edit: He is!). Or Daryl Katz. The last one is a little closer to home lol Edit2: You know what all of those owners have in common? (Answer: Losing :'() |

True indicator is when after the lockout, they jacked up the ticket prices. I really hope this team loses them a bunch of money that they'd eventually have to sell it. Meddling owners are never a good thing. |
One thing we forgot to mention for those saying we can get possibly more for Kesler in the summer, is we are forgetting he has a NTC. Just cus joe moe overre there offers a bigger package, if Kesler says I don't wanna go there then that's that lol I think the teams he was willing to waive the NTC were fighting for him NOW, which only goes to show he'll either get the same or less in the summer imo.
