There are definitely some good hockey players on RS, but then again, it's all relative. If you're comparing them to NHLers...yeah, no.

I'm starting to lose some respect for Tanev... play for what you're freaking worth for a year or two and if you're actually the real deal you'll get rewarded... let's not forget buddy has 2 career NHL goals......... and only 1 goal in his AHL career too.

Assuming Tanev is NHL caliber and clubs actually want him. The Canucks is probably one of the worst places to sign if he's after money. Every one of our defenceman signs for less than market price. And as a 3rd pairing, there's not much meat left on the bone.

Yup, as Tanev currently doesn't have a contract with a NHL club. Being a restricted free agent only means if he wants to play in the NHL, his rights belong to the Canucks but he is free to sign in any other league.

Well good luck to Tanev. I'd rather have a player who's hungry to play for the Canucks

Malkin's father has been mouthing off to the press to say his son was offered more money to play for Dallas than to stay in Pittsburgh. Good for Evgeny to say that he wants to play for the Penguins and live in Pittsburgh. At least he didn't demand a trade.

Yes, Dallas would be guilty of tampering if what Malkin's dad says is true. Unless the Penguins gave the Stars the ok to talk to Malkin about an extension if the two teams where exploring a trade.
