He still had a year left on his entry level deal, he'd still be RFA after that. IMO Av's should have waited to see what he does this year even if they were willing to commit that money and term to him. IF he can light it up this season, his extension would have just been 'ok'. Instead Av's have assumed some pretty big risk.

They played a part on the PP sure. But we've also been running the exact same PP entry and setups for the past 3 seasons straight. Defending a PP is way easier when you 95% know where the puck and play will be headed and where the PP is trying to setup the scoring opportunities from

Yeah. If the Av's got a 'great deal' on his signing then sure. But even if he can get 6.5M after tearing up the stats this upcoming year, the Av's are still only saving 0.8M which barely buys you a 4th line plug like Tom Sestito.

Are golf clubs made of graphite or carbon fibre nowadays? Shit is sharp when it breaks, ouch.

Drivers/woods/hybrids typically have graphite shafts. You can get graphite shaft irons, but Giroux would likely play steel. Graphite is more for the senior golfer who can't generate much clubhead speed.

It's kinda impossible for Kassian not to have a big season if he plays full time with the Sedins...

Torts will make it happen since he's not AV and won't separate the line after a handful of games (when its actually clicking)

I'm hoping Tarasenko explodes next season.. but it's doubtful.
