Just cant get over the cayenne EV interior, looks like a standard VW template they can reuse through their whole brand lineup, nothing porsche unique aside from the chronograph, just change the logo on the steering wheel.
Im sure gen-z will tell us why all screen dashboard is a good thing.

lilaznviper 11-19-2025 12:26 PM

anyone have insight on the i4 and 330e? seeing a lot of them come up for sale on the pre own lots as i'm guessing they are all lease returns.

JDMDreams 11-19-2025 01:05 PM

I kinda want i7 once you black out the grill and put some big faces on it looks pretty nice, isn't it just poverty rolls Royce.

all i see is pig nose and ching chong eyes.

EvoFire 11-19-2025 03:20 PM

That first blacked out one looks good, but I don't want to be cleaning those wheels.

Harvey Specter 11-19-2025 04:00 PM

Disappointed with the exterior of the new EV Cayenne. In the spy shots the front end looked far more aggressive. On the production car it looks like the designers just gave up.

And the current 7 Series is hideous. I owned an F01 B7 and I regret selling it. I think that gen of the 7 Series was the best looking.

JDMDreams 11-19-2025 04:20 PM

It can't be compared to s class, but i7 seems to be better than eqs, given how shitty the plastic interior is based on hoovies ownership videos

Gumby 11-19-2025 04:20 PM

Most 7 series looked elegant, until the current G70 one... :Puke:

I had an I4 as a loaner and loved it. I only really got the Taycan instead since having an M2 and an i4 would overlap too much, plus the Taycan has more room in the back.

They seem like a good deal used.

Yea but realistically where can you charge at those numbers? Porsche dealers? China? We don't even have the infrastructure for the laneways we want to build. What's the public charger rate right now at gas stations? Let alone will it kill your Porsche battery.

What? It's already here, even the cheapos at BCHydro are doing 350kW+.
They're more common than 150kW in USA & now we're doing 400-1200kW cuz it's cheaper to maintain than 2-4 150kWs.

- Electrify Canada/BC Hydro 350: https://new.abb.com/ev-charging/high-power-charging
- On the Run 400kw: https://e-mobility.abb.com/en/products/all-one/a400]
- (US Only) Electrify America, BP Pulse, Ionna, Mercedes 400kW, 2 handles: https://www.alpitronic.it/us/hypercharger/hyc-400/
- (US Only) Ionna, Mercedes 600/1200kW, 8 handles: https://www.alpitronic.it/en/hypercharger/hyc-1000/

Porsche's 300kW average means it'll accept 250kw+ the WHOLE time, even at 65%.
Teslas are doing like 60kw at 65%, Cybertruck has the "latest gen 800V" and accepts 70kW at 65% LMFAO

Most importantly, it means you can do road trips brainless like a gas car
No stations for the next 100km and it's all uphill? Cold? Massive headwind?
Don't care, plug it in, use the fat charging curve for 10 minutes, keep driving.

If you want 600kW, simple - electric semis are already doing this by plugging in 2 handles, soon to be 1 handle.
Tesla Sueprcharger V4 is supposed to do 1000kW too, but they don't have a single V4 cabinet deployed.
All of the V4 looking things have the v4 handle and cable, but are using v3 electronics/power supply.

i4 m40i is a really really solid car. Very well planted and quick. Pro that it doesn't look like a run of the mill EV too.

I haven't driven one but I've done an early S2S run with one.. and it keeps up with CTRs / GT Cars if that's any frame of reference.

I'd definitely consider one if track was not lyfe

I don't like the 330e - the batteries like to fail, the range is not usable even for vancouver, it's noisier and slow, much worse charging options, expensive maintenance.

The i4 is the much better car - cost to own, reliability, larger trunk, way better drive, etc.

RabidRat 11-20-2025 07:07 AM

Also not sure if you guys realize this, but the i4 trunk is actually a hatch.

https://www.motorbiscuit.com/wp-cont...runk-open.jpeg

That's infinitely more useful, especially with the fold-down rear seats.

Not bad :notbad:

Out of curiosity, I priced one out with only a few add-ons, and I think it came out to $67 or $68K before taxes. What are comparable competitors in this segment and price range?

RabidRat 11-20-2025 07:21 AM

Tesla Model 3. Feels like a no-brainer between these two. The i4 seems like a wildly better value for money.

It's much better than the Tesla Model 3 (even the refreshed highland), MB CLA is the better EV but the i4 is the better car.

Badhobz 11-20-2025 07:38 AM

if youre gonna buy a pig nose bmw, why bother with the ev one? just get the pig nose m3!!! 1600 a month is a steal for what you get.

I'm poor and make only $35,000/year.

But Evo already has an M3. Shouldn't we diversify our geriatric holdings?

Then you pay zero tax, so isn't the take-home equivalent like 6 figures?

Badhobz 11-20-2025 08:53 AM

Evo's only buying these things cuz his wife would rather cry in the BMW than laugh in a camry.

Hey, I wasn't gaslighting my wages unlike some forum members. :D

After living expenses and tuition, I am $1.2M deep in the red. :troll:

Polestar 2, though that is a generation behind and only available used now. However, used P2s around 35-45k are a pretty good value IMO.

Traum 11-20-2025 10:12 AM

I'm sad that Polestar is no longer bringing their PS2 in for sale. It was one of the EVs I've been eyeing.

How is the Bimmer i4 when it comes to reliability? I am very apprehensive of the amount of "maintenance" ICE Bimmers require, so they have never been all that high in my contenders list.
