The iX is a great fit for our needs but it has me very wary about a HUGE depreciation coming up as the next gen is getting ready to go. The thing that the iX has going for me is the unique chassis and construction but most people don't care about that. With how good the iX3 is shaping up to be, the iX5 might be a bit of a game changer and I feel like holding on to a iX at that point is gonna hurt my wallet a lot. I'm just cautiously watching this whole thing as I don't know what's going to come out on top, EV exhaustion (people getting tired of it) or actual usable EVs that can actually replace a ICE car. I'm still not convinced using a EV on a road trip is the same as an ICE, but the gap has closed a lot. |
EV road trip in most of the US is double the cost of just driving a normal car lol It's really only in BC where gas is so expensive and distances are short that it's worth it. |

Seems like the electric BMWs are back to the classic depreciation curve where the bulk depreciation happens in the first few years, then slows down a lot. |

Yeah leasing is the best option |

The iX still has the whole unorthodox interior thing going for it, but the iX5 would be a direct replacement. Quote:
The iX is 40% residual after 36 months on a new iX 60 (the old 50 became a 60). It's a 120k + tax car, 40% residual means I'm more than 60k for 3 years. It really doesn't make sense when a lightly used 24 iX50 is going for 75k. |
my understanding is that the iX is one and done. No second generation like the i3 and i8. They will use what they learned from the iX for the ix5. |
yes thanks for nothing iX, now the new class design theme made them all look like a bunch of iX's. |
If used iX is 60 that’s an AMAZING deal, that’s like 45k USD or like a loaded RAV4 hybrid |
For Canadian ID buzz looks like there’s MOAR MONEY off From Reddit: $21k off for cash deal $3.5 to $4.5k off from dealer $5k additional if business registration $5k off if you have VW corporate referral. This is my experience from a few dealers in Vancouv |
Whoa. Suddenly the VW Buzz looks pretty good. What does "VW corporate referral" entail? Any tips? Lol business registration. Anyone know if it's hard to go set that up? |
Yep, the ads keep coming up. The latest one is 99/w for the ID4 or ID Buzz. |
LLC or whatever is pretty easy to setup VW Corporate idk Maybe y'all should check in with a dealer and see what kinda work comes |
> another $5,000 if you have a referral from a Volkswagen corporate employee. get on LinkedIn DMs my boys |
Holy shit, this behemoth has a really good turning circle (at least, the RWD version does). Better than the Model 3, and equal to an EQS or X5 that have options for rear axle steering. |
A friend just picked up his 48 mo. 16k km lease with $0 down and $900/mo tax-in. I'm not sure what exact combo of discounts he got to reach this number, but from the VW.ca website that works out to another ~$8,000 in discounts beyond the $6k everyone gets by default (my guess: $5k business registration + $3k dealer discount like AstulzerRZD said). |
Im starting to see these things everywhere. i wanted one before but its all pretty meh now. Same price, f150 lightening. Id take the truck for additional lawls. |

I had inquired about the business discount, but the sales staff said the business must have at least 3 fleet vehicle to qualify. So essentially, the best 'cash' offer has been around since late October, where you can get 21k off from VW, around 4k from the dealer. |
