Don't fucking blame the Sedins. The shit they went through since the day they were drafted and the amount of effort and work they put into the team and community, we should be thankful for having them on our team.

I've said many times and that trading away your core leaders and rebuild like that doesn't work if you can draft and develop properly.

Imagine if we were able to draft top 3 last year, we would have Matthews laine and pulvujarvi in our line up. Think if we developed virtanen properly. He might be closer in contributing to the team. Shitty luck and shitty decisions by coaching staff.

It wouldn't be easy, but it's not as impossible as people make it out to be. With 50% retention available and almost every team having a bad contract or two, it's definitely quite possible.

Issue right now is the expansion draft; that's 2 contracts a team would be obligated to protect due to the NMCs.

Sounds like Canucks... Have 2 big contracts to move in a year they're not moveable (expansion draft) and have one of their worst seasons in recent memory in the worst (by projections) draft year in recent memory. Cursed franchise.

Nevermind falling in last year's draft and then grabbing Juolevi over Tkachuk... Who knows how he will turn out but Tkachuk would be like 5th in team scoring on the Canucks right now with his 15 points. Ouch.
